1. Maintenance Agent
Perform repair, maintenance, and construction works according to the supervisor’s instructions and MSF standards to ensure proper operations and prevent faults or deterioration of MSF equipment, installations, and infrastructures.

Performing autonomously, complex / advanced installation and maintenance of electrical and other energy systems in all MSF facilities across the mission (offices, health structures, warehouses, etc., according MSF standards and procedures, in order to ensure a proper functioning and maintenance of MSF equipment and installations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensuring all electrical installations in MSF facilities comply with MSF standards and performing autonomously and ensuring, all necessary complex / advanced electrical installations, maintenance and repairs, according to the supervisor’s instructions. This includes the following tasks :
• Carrying out critical rehabilitation tasks and corrective maintenance interventions and the coordination and execution of required tasks as well as installation of needed electrical equipment as defined by each project. Elaborating the necessary documentation for carrying out energy installations projects (plans, list of materials, etc.)
• Carrying out and updating the electrical installations inventory in MSF missions’ facilities and performing annual maintenance procedures and safety checks across facilities in the project. Executing any needed tests after any repair or maintenance.
• Identifying local technical actors, and organizing their participation in the project (training of technical staff, establishing relations with local companies, contractors and suppliers, quotations, contracts, etc.)
• Making suggestions regarding any repair or maintenance work needed in MSF electrical installations and equipment and assisting logistics department with any urgent support/advice or any relative work needed
• Managing the stock of consumable items related to electrical installation, repairs and maintenance, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage
• Responsible for the equipment and tools (including extinguishers), checking they are correctly and safely used, maintaining and renewing them when necessary and keeping the inventory updated.
• Keeping working area clean and tidy.
• Ensuring that all record sheets and books related to maintenance are always completed and prepares needed reports before and after any repair or required maintenance.
MSF SECTION/CONTEXT SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Checking the repair or maintenace needs in MSF electrical installations, informing and suggesting to linemanager of what to be done.
· Managing the stock of consumable items related to electricity, filling in the stock cards, carrying out physical stock inventories, executing orders necessary for renewing stock, avoiding any shortage.
· Responsible for updatting Energy (electrical equipment and tools, including Heating and ventilation equipments) in the project,checking they are correctly and safely used,maintaining and renewing them when necessary.
· Keeping working area clean and tidy.
· Ensuring that all record sheets and books related to logistical maintenance are always completed and archived.
· Infrom the line manager before and after any repair and participate the weekly logistics meeting, share weekly and monthly activity report on time.
· Immediately informing the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins
· Working in collaboration with other technicians and workers, if necessary, or managing a small team of workers
· Participating in organising user training where required taining and keeping posters in place to remind users about energy conservation.
· Ensuring all electrical installations and equipments in MSF facilities comply with MSF standards and performing autonomously and ensuring.

3. BIOMED TECHNICIAN
The main purpose is to ensure the reliable operation of all equipment through regular maintenance and servicing. This includes performing preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and keeping detailed records of all equipment to monitor performance and history. Hence ensuring smooth project operations
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Performing and carrying out, all necessary installation, maintenance, and repair of MSF biomedical equipment.
Ø Organizing and participating in the installationSof biomedical equipment
Ø Following the schedule and carrying out preventive and curative maintenance works for the equipment according to the MSF and/or manufacturer’s protocols, manuals, and recommendations and ensuring that cleaning and simple maintenance are properly carried out by medical staff.
Ø Reporting any issues or problems on biomed equipment to his/her supervisor and proposing solutions. If maintenance work requires further assistance, documentation, or additional tools, this shall be requested from and provided by his/her supervisor.
Ø Participating in organizing user training where required

7. Job Vacancy – Nursing Activity Manager – Full Time – 100%
Defining, coordinating and monitoring all care and nursing related activities in the project and ensuring the daily management of the human resources, according to MSF nursing protocols, standards and procedures, in order to warrant efficiency, quality and continuity of prescribed care
ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Planning and organizing all nursing related activities (IPD, OPD, maternity, nutrition, etc.) and participating in the definition of annual planning and update of its associated budget in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the standard quality healthcare. When needed, being responsible for scheduling duty rosters, shifts and on call of nursing staff
o Coordinating and supervising the implementation of the legal therapeutic protocols, procedures and standards, depending on project objectives (PPTCT, PEP, VCT, IEC, SGBV, MH services, etc.) and providing technical support when needed, to ensure the quality of the nursing care, confidentiality and information traceability, patient surveillance, and the application of the therapeutic and sterilization rules by the health care personnel
o Supervising the nutritional activities in order to ensure that therapeutic food is provided regularly and that it complies with quality and quantity standards.
o Ensuring all administrative procedures and documents (individual patient’s card and registration book, discharge paper, transfer paper, etc.) and existing data management tools are used correctly.
o According to MSF protocols and in collaboration with the Project Pharmacy Manager and Project Medical Referent, supervising the distribution (according to medical prescriptions) and pharmacy activity, preparing new orders when required, supervising expiration terms and consumption patterns, in order to ensure that pharmacy stock levels are permanently updated and above minimum safety point.
o In coordination with the project biomedical service supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating and communicating future needs.
o In close coordination with the Logistics Manager, supervising laboratory outputs related to nursing activities (blood test) to ensure samples are collected correctly and results are provided on time.
o In close coordination with the HR department, planning and supervising the associated processes (recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) of the nursing staff of the project in order to improve staff capabilities and ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required. Training nursing staff on PTE.
o Reporting to the line manager on any relevant information linked to nursing activities and participating in monthly reports.

MSF has been working intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting MOH in a variety of areas, notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics such as cholera, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. MSF’s latest intervention in the country started in May 2015 with an emergency response to a cholera outbreak affecting both the refugee and the host populations in Kigoma region. During the emergency phase MSF expanded medical and water/sanitation activities to all three refugee camps in the region.
Liwale project officially launched in December 2022, Liwale project is an integrated project supporting MoH in Community based, Primary and Secondary health care for mother and child under 5. MSF is currently supporting 7 health facilities including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital, 3 health centres) where CEmONC are offered and 3 primary health care where BEmONC are offered. This support includes facilitation for recruitment of 102 health care workers including 50 community health care workers, medical supply, empowerment of team (trainings, team management, quality of care improvement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
o Essential nursing diploma for general or specialized health services. Bachelor of Science in Nursing Desirable.
o Valid registered nursing license to practice
o Specialization or training in tropical medicine would be an asset
Experience:
o Essential at least TWO (2) years comprehensive managerial experience in Nursing activities
o Desirable MSF and NGO work experience
Knowledge:

4. Midwife Supervisor
- Location: Liwale, Lindi
- Direct Reports: Midwife Activity Manager (MWAM)
- Main Purpose: Supervise midwifery care in MSF-supported maternity units and ensure quality services are delivered according to MSF protocols and universal hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and evaluate midwifery staff.
- Ensure teamwork and professionalism within the maternity department.
- Supervise clinical activities including ante-natal care, delivery, post-natal consultations, and vaccinations.
- Ensure hygiene and infection control standards are followed.
- Oversee pharmacy activities and medical equipment maintenance.
- Report and register patients’ data accurately for monthly reports.
- Manage cases of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) when necessary.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Diploma in Midwifery, valid registered midwifery license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in midwifery.

5. Nursing Team Supervisor
- Location: Liwale, Lindi
- Direct Reports: Nursing Activity Manager (NAM)
- Main Purpose: Oversee nursing activities, ensure the quality of care, and manage nursing staff in the MSF-supported health facilities in Liwale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff, including scheduling and evaluating performance.
- Ensure implementation of nursing protocols, sterilization techniques, and patient care standards.
- Oversee the management of medical supplies, including drugs and equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient data and ensure effective reporting.
- Coordinate training and capacity building for nursing staff.

- Main Purpose: Plan and supervise immunization activities to ensure the quality and effectiveness of MSF’s Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in the supported health facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee immunization activities, including routine and outreach services.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene standards and proper cold chain management.
- Supervise staff and manage resources for vaccine administration.
- Train staff on immunization procedures and report on activities.
- Collaborate with community health workers to promote immunization and address vaccine hesitancy.

7. Job Vacancy – Nursing Activity Manager – Full Time – 100%
- Title: NURSING ACTIVITY MANAGER (NAM)
- Direct Reports: PROJECT MEDICAL REFERENT (PMR)
- Location: LIWALE, LINDI
Defining, coordinating and monitoring all care and nursing related activities in the project and ensuring the daily management of the human resources, according to MSF nursing protocols, standards and procedures, in order to warrant efficiency, quality and continuity of prescribed care
ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Planning and organizing all nursing related activities (IPD, OPD, maternity, nutrition, etc.) and participating in the definition of annual planning and update of its associated budget in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the standard quality healthcare. When needed, being responsible for scheduling duty rosters, shifts and on call of nursing staff
o Coordinating and supervising the implementation of the legal therapeutic protocols, procedures and standards, depending on project objectives (PPTCT, PEP, VCT, IEC, SGBV, MH services, etc.) and providing technical support when needed, to ensure the quality of the nursing care, confidentiality and information traceability, patient surveillance, and the application of the therapeutic and sterilization rules by the health care personnel
o Supervising the nutritional activities in order to ensure that therapeutic food is provided regularly and that it complies with quality and quantity standards.
o Ensuring all administrative procedures and documents (individual patient’s card and registration book, discharge paper, transfer paper, etc.) and existing data management tools are used correctly.
o According to MSF protocols and in collaboration with the Project Pharmacy Manager and Project Medical Referent, supervising the distribution (according to medical prescriptions) and pharmacy activity, preparing new orders when required, supervising expiration terms and consumption patterns, in order to ensure that pharmacy stock levels are permanently updated and above minimum safety point.
o In coordination with the project biomedical service supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating and communicating future needs.
o In close coordination with the Logistics Manager, supervising laboratory outputs related to nursing activities (blood test) to ensure samples are collected correctly and results are provided on time.
o In close coordination with the HR department, planning and supervising the associated processes (recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) of the nursing staff of the project in order to improve staff capabilities and ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required. Training nursing staff on PTE.
o Reporting to the line manager on any relevant information linked to nursing activities and participating in monthly reports.

MSF has been working intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting MOH in a variety of areas, notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics such as cholera, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. MSF’s latest intervention in the country started in May 2015 with an emergency response to a cholera outbreak affecting both the refugee and the host populations in Kigoma region. During the emergency phase MSF expanded medical and water/sanitation activities to all three refugee camps in the region.
Liwale project officially launched in December 2022, Liwale project is an integrated project supporting MoH in Community based, Primary and Secondary health care for mother and child under 5. MSF is currently supporting 7 health facilities including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital, 3 health centres) where CEmONC are offered and 3 primary health care where BEmONC are offered. This support includes facilitation for recruitment of 102 health care workers including 50 community health care workers, medical supply, empowerment of team (trainings, team management, quality of care improvement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
o Essential nursing diploma for general or specialized health services. Bachelor of Science in Nursing Desirable.
o Valid registered nursing license to practice
o Specialization or training in tropical medicine would be an asset
Experience:
o Essential at least TWO (2) years comprehensive managerial experience in Nursing activities
o Desirable MSF and NGO work experience
Knowledge:
o Essential Computer literacy (WORD, EXCEL and INTERNET)
Languages:
o Excellent English spoken and written, and Kiswahili are essential
