ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ONE-YEAR CONTRACT JOB POSITIONS
The Director of Ubungo Municipal Council announces contract job opportunities for Tanzanian citizens in various fields of Engineering and Driving, as per the employment permit Ref No.: FA.97/228/02″A”/190, dated December 19, 2024, from the Permanent Secretary of Public Service.

1.0 EXECUTIVE CIVIL ENGINEER II (03 POSITIONS)
1.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
• Must have a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

1.1.2 SALARY SCALE

• A successful applicant for the position of Executive Civil Engineer II will be paid a salary at TGS E.1 level.

2.0 MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II (01 POSITION)
2.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
• Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the relevant Engineering Registration Board.

2.1.2 SALARY SCALE

• A successful applicant for the position of Mechanical and Electrical Engineer II will be paid a salary at TGS E.1 level.

3.0 ARCHITECT II (01 POSITION)
3.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
• Must have a Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the relevant Registration Board as a Professional Architect.

3.1.2 SALARY SCALE

• A successful applicant for the position of Architect II will be paid a salary at TGS E.1 level

4.0 QUANTITY SURVEYOR II (01 POSITION)
4.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
• Must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the relevant Registration Board as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.

4.1.2 SALARY SCALE

• A successful applicant for the position of Quantity Surveyor II will be paid a salary at TGS E.1 level.

5.0 DRIVER GRADE II (35 POSITIONS)
5.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a Form IV (Ordinary Level) or Form VI (Advanced Level) certificate.
• Must hold a valid Class E or C1 driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing an accident.
• Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another recognized institution.
• Applicants with a Trade Test Certificate Grade II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics will have an added advantage.

5.1.4 SALARY SCALE

• A successful applicant for the position of Driver Grade II will be paid a salary at TGS B.1 level per month.

GENERAL APPLICATION CONDITIONS
All applicants must:

• Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, Attach a copy of their birth certificate. Submit an application letter indicating their current postal address and phone number, along with: Applicants with a criminal record will not be considered.
• The following documents will not be accepted: Testimonials, Provisional Results, or Statement of Results
• Form IV and Form VI Result Slips
• Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTE).
• Applicants who have been retired or dismissed from public service are not eligible, unless they have official clearance from the Chief Secretary.
• Providing false information or forged documents will result in legal action against the applicant.
• Overqualified applicants will not be considered.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 24, 2025.

Applicants must attach a signed application letter along with certified copies of academic certificates.
