The Institute of Social Work (ISW) is an accredited institution by the National Council for Technical Education and Vocational Education (NACTVET), established under the National Social Welfare Training Institute Act No. 26 of 1973 (as amended by the Miscellaneous Act No. 3 of 2002). ISW offers academic programs in Social Work, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Community Work with Children and Youth, among others.

- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Professional qualifications like CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, or equivalent recognized by NBAA are required. Applicants should also have at least three years of work experience in a related field.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of income and expenditure statements, maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with public finance regulations, and other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Salary Scale: PGSS7
Estate Officer I (1 Post) – Kijitonyama Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field, with at least four years of experience in a related field.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Management of Institute buildings and infrastructure, overseeing construction and maintenance activities, and any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Salary Scale: PGSS7
Senior Internal Auditor II (1 Post) – Kijitonyama Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Candidates must have at least seven years of experience in the related field. Professional qualifications like CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, CIA, or equivalent recognized by NBAA are required.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Conducting audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing audit reports, and handling audit queries and management letters. Supervising junior staff and ensuring proper maintenance of financial records.
- Salary Scale: PGSS8
Personal Secretary I (1 Post) – Kisangara Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must hold a Form VI or Form IV Certificate with secretarial qualifications. They should have at least four years of experience in secretarial duties.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Performing secretarial duties, handling office communications, arranging meetings, typing confidential documents, coordinating office requirements, and assisting with travel arrangements for senior officers.
- Salary Scale: PGSS7

Planning Officer I (1 Post) – Kijitonyama Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Economics, or related fields, with at least four years of experience in the relevant field.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Participating in budget preparation and control, reporting on planning and budgetary matters, and assisting in operational repairs of machinery and infrastructure.
- Salary Scale: PGSS7
Senior Account II (1 Post) – Kijitonyama Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration with at least seven years of experience in the relevant field.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Approving payments according to financial rules, handling financial reports, responding to audit queries, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Salary Scale: PGSS9
Driver I (1 Post) – Kisangara Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants must possess Form IV Certificate and a Class “C1” driving license, with at least five years of experience in driving. Candidates must have completed Basic Driving Course by VETA or any other recognized institution.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Driving assigned vehicles, inspecting vehicles for defects, cleaning assigned vehicles, and assisting in collecting and dispatching mails.
- Salary Scale: PGSS3
Accounts Officer II (1 Post) – Kisangara Campus
- Qualifications and Experience: Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields, with at least four years of relevant work experience.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Maintaining registers, serving as a cashier, preparing bills, reconciling bank statements, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Salary Scale: PGSS7
