About One Acre Fund
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About the Role
You will join the Finance Advisory Services (FAS) team, a dedicated group of in-country and global advisors. As trusted partners to organizational leadership, we specialize in financial strategy and sustainability. We oversee critical functions such as company-wide budgeting, strategic planning, and financial reporting. Our primary objective is to ensure financial sustainability and enhance our overall impact
As the Finance and Tax Compliance Lead, you will collaborate with the Global Finance team to support the Tanzania program on financial and tax compliance, financial reporting and financial analysis. You will report to the Global Finance and Strategy Manager.

As the Finance and Tax Compliance Lead, you will collaborate with the Global Finance team to support the Tanzania program on financial and tax compliance, financial reporting and financial analysis. You will report to the Global Finance and Strategy Manager.
Responsibilities
Lead Country Tax Compliance
- You will be the primary finance contact, managing relationships with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)
- You will stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks
- You will ensure accurate tax filings
- You will coordinate communication between external auditors, on-ground teams, and central finance/accounting
- You will manage in-country tax correspondence
- You will manage the annual budgeting and 5-year projection process
- You will collaborate with leadership to present the country's financial performance
- You will ensure departments operate within the approved budget

Qualifications
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting, consulting, or financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification
- Understanding of Tanzania's tax laws.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform complex functions.
- Proficiency in both English and Swahili.
