Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Activity

(Re)Design (15%)

  • Ensure quality designs of the grant & PNS projects
  • Participate in developing project proposals

End Results

(Re)The design of Grant & PNS projects is informed by reliable data from ongoing operations and other reliable data sources.

Activity

Baseline (10%)

  • Coordinate Grant project baseline surveys and evaluations
  • Provide M&E technical support during baselines & evaluations of the Grant  projects

End Results

Baselines and evaluations are conducted efficiently and findings are shared with partners and stakeholders.

Activity

Monitoring (15%)

  • Facilitate monitoring processes with partners and communities
  • Support monitoring processes in the Grant projects
  • Ensure projects have a monitoring framework and completed ITTs based on the donor requirements.
  • Supervise monitoring in Grant and PNS projects
  • Ensure the quality of project monitoring

End Results

  • Projects have data collection tools
  • Monitoring events are conducted efficiently, and results are effectively disseminated

Activity

Evaluation (10%)

  • Ensure all projects are evaluated according to the schedule
  • Develop, capture, and produce evaluation synthesis of all evaluations conducted in a year
  • Ensure the quality of evaluations
  • Support the selection of consultants for survey exercises

End Results

Evaluations are conducted efficiently with external partners/consultants. Results are synthesized and presented to relevant stakeholders, including SLT.

Review Annual Plans, Annual Budgets, and Monitoring Reports (10%)

  • Review Annual project Plans and Budgets
  • Review monitoring reports (Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual Reports) and monitor implementation of Grant project activities to ensure compliance with planning documents.

Quality annual plans and monitoring reports

Activity

Support roll-out of project effectiveness for GC and EARO  initiatives (10%)

  • Facilitate understanding of LEAP 3 across Grants
  • Provide clarity and awareness to staff in the Grant Projects on LEAP 3 uptake and its implication on the current strategy

End Results

Roll out of LEAP 3 across all Grants

Activity

Support strategy implementation and tracking. (10%)

  • Track the strategy using the national-level M&E system that provides information on progress being made on each of the indicators according to the Strategy, including Our Promise 2030.
  • Information arising from the Grant project monitoring is used in the performance section of the WVT Strategy
  • Engagement of specialists in the national office, EAR, and support office and ensure all indicators in the strategy are benchmarked
  • Ensure the presence of tools for tracking Grant project progress, including development of a database

Activity

Evidence Building and Documentation of Learning (10%)

  • Coordinate reporting on Child Well Being with adequate
  • Gather relevant information regarding best practices to Grant project design, monitoring, and evaluation from within and outside the WVI partnership and share it with field staff to facilitate organizational learning and experience sharing.
  • Lead and participate in research, sharing, and replicating of practices aimed at ministry improvement
  • Coordinate evidence Document the major key lessons and findings from project evaluations and operations audit and disseminate for organizational learning and decision making.

Activity

Work with the Resource Development team to ensure the following (10%)

  • Provide Technical inputs in Grant Acquisition or Resource Development processes
  • Facilitate Evidence generation and documentation for GRANT/PNS proposal development
  • Coordinate Development of Results Framework, Log frames, ITT, and DIP to meet LEAP 3 requirements during project/grants proposal development

End Results

New business is supported with high-quality M&E components, including Log frames. Indicators for new business are aligned with standard indicators, including OIOS Level 1 indicators while considering donor indicators.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS
FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

3-5 years in programs management

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

BA/Bsc Degree in Economics, Agriculture, Business administration, Development studies/planning, social science disciplines or other related disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Thinking clearly, deeply, and broadly Understanding WV’s mission & operations Building collaborative relationships.

Both Fluent in English and Swahili Language
