JOB DETAILS:
Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible of the following;
· Preparation of Geotechnical Report (Factual, Interpretation and Design reports) using relevant design criteria, codes and standards.
· Performing geotechnical design calculation using acceptable software, analysis the outcome of results and recommend on what action to be taken considering acceptable design standard and to be within budget.
· Ensure completeness and accuracy of project team’s work and reach the overall project objectives.
· Serves as technical liaison with client at staff level for work within the discipline.
· Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements within budget and schedule.
· Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Geology / Highway Engineering.
• Priority for those who have participated in the geotechnical design on the Tanzania SGR project from previously lots.
• Minimum three years of experience on geotechnical design especially on railway projects.
• Language priority: English
• Having a good knowledge of AREMA, AASHTO, EN and Eurocodes
• Having a good knowledge of geotechnical related software such as Tarlen, Plaxis, Settle 3D, Foxta, FB-Multi-pier, etc
• Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to make sound decisions based on site field conditions
• Ability to work successfully and professionally with consultants and employers
