Fleet Manager at Watercom (T) Ltd September 2024
Job Type: Full-timeJob responsibilities of Fleet Manager
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency

- Objectively assess the company’s business processes.
- Assess the company’s risks and the efficacy of its risk management efforts.
- Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes.
- Evaluate internal controls that safeguard company assets and make recommendations on how to improve.
- Assess business processes within organizations to identify improvements related to the accuracy, efficiency, reliability, and quality of the process and the resulting products and services.
- Promote ethics and help identify improper conduct.
- Assure safeguards are in place to protect the organization’s resources.
- Investigate fraud.
- Document the results of audit procedures.
- Communicate the findings, best practices, and recommendations to senior management.
- Provide opinions on the overall results of internal audits.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Optimize the use of resources, including labour, raw materials, and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare and analyse production reports to identify areas for improvement
- Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in the production process
