Who We Are
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a Midstream development located across Uganda and Tanzania. It includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, EACOP will operate a 1,443 km long electrically heated crude oil export pipeline that transports oil from Kabaale – Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania, for crude export to international markets.

Operations Logistics Coordinator

Operations Logistics Coordinator  at EACOP Project (Bomba la Mafuta Tanga) September 2024

Job Title: Operations Logistics Coordinator
Job Type: Full Time
Reports to: N+1: Head of Logistics | N+2: Operations Director
Location: Marine Storage Terminal, Tanga

Job Dimensions / General Job Description:
The Operations Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing service contracts and overseeing transportation services within the operational area, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in place at EACOP.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facilities’ service contracts, including but not limited to vehicle maintenance, utility services, housekeeping, domestic waste disposal, and catering.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all community landlords within EACOP’s operational areas.
  • Schedule transportation services, including site shuttles within the operational area.
  • Monitor inter-site personnel movements, especially to unmanned stations.
  • Allocate drivers and plan routes.
  • Manage and monitor diesel inventory at all sites and supply operational vehicles.
  • Conduct periodic site visits for audits, inspections, and evaluation of operational needs for non-technical materials and interventions.
  • Manage all aspects of facilities and general services for EACOP properties in Tanzania.
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Fully comply with Company H3SE (Health, Safety, Social Security, and Environment) policies and Life-Saving Rules.
  • Actively participate in HSEQ initiatives and promote safety culture.
  • Remain vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of unsafe conditions.
  • Communicate any HSE-related concerns to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and neat workplace and practice good housekeeping.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, especially in facility management.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, knowledge of logistics software or transportation management systems, and basic accounting knowledge.

Warehouse & Stock Coordinator

Job Title: Warehouse & Stock Coordinator

Location: Marine Storage Terminal, Tanga

Job Dimensions / General Job Description:
The Warehouse & Stock Coordinator oversees all activities in the various EACOP warehouses, including the MST (main warehouse) and multiple pumping stations (PS-1, PS-4, and PS-5). This role also manages the Warehouses Specific Maintenance Contract (SMC).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for inventory management and warehousing activities.
  • Review material and cargo handling and storage tasks.
  • Follow up on all transport vehicles dispatched to operational sites.
  • Manage proper database records for electronic documentation related to material delivery.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels and place orders as required.
  • Provide information to customers (maintenance and operations teams) on the status of their orders.
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up with suppliers for out-of-stock goods.
  • Track inventory continuously and manage receipt and labeling issues.
  • Organize the MST main warehouse catalog and plan routes for shipment processing.
  • Carry out periodic site visits to ensure compliance with approved warehouse management procedures.
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Fully comply with H3SE (Health, Safety, Social Security, and Environment) policies and Life-Saving Rules.
  • Promote safety culture among co-workers.
  • Maintain continuous vigilance for unsafe conditions and communicate concerns to management.

Qualifications / Experience Required:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Taxation, Customs, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in logistics operations, particularly in warehouse management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English (spoken and written), knowledge of operational logistics, transportation regulations, and best practices, along with adaptability, diplomacy, and rigor.

The Office Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the EACOP Tanzania – Tanga Branch Office. Duties include travel and accommodation coordination, expense tracking, meeting organization, guest reception, and general office management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Travel and Accommodation Coordination: Arrange travel and accommodation for both visiting and resident employees, ensuring logistical needs are met efficiently.
  • Expense Tracking and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial tracking of office expenses such as LUKU bills, meals, and other costs.
  • Meeting and Event Organization: Organize meetings, schedule appointments, and coordinate catering for company events.
  • Telephone and Correspondence Management: Manage incoming phone calls, emails, letters, and packages, ensuring timely responses.
  • Guest Reception and Hospitality: Greet and welcome guests, providing a courteous and professional first impression.
  • Reception Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring all necessary stationery and materials are readily available.
  • Office Safety and Operations: Ensure a safe working environment for staff and visitors, overseeing office facilities.
  • Office Supplies Management: Order and manage office supplies, maintain accurate inventory records, and handle related procurement.
