Job Purpose:The Payroll Accountant at Tigo will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including data entry, verification, and timely disbursement of salaries.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll processes adhere to legal requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Deductions and Contributions: Calculate and process deductions (e.g., taxes, pensions, insurance) and manage statutory contributions.
- Reporting: Generate monthly payroll reports, including payroll summaries, variance reports, and compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits such as leave, health insurance, and other compensations, ensuring they are accurately reflected in payroll.
- Audits: Assist in payroll audits, both internal and external, and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Reconciliations: Perform payroll reconciliations to ensure all payments and deductions are accurate.
- Problem-Solving: Address payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess payroll processes for efficiency and recommend improvements.
