Thousands of retailers across Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda use Maxsoko's mobile ordering and delivery platform to receive the goods they need as quickly and cheaply as possible while also accessing growth financing for the first time. Job Summary:

The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy of Maxsoko. This strategic leadership position requires a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and establishing strong client relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the company's sales vision and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

Location: Dar es salaam, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with operational capabilities.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team.
    • Set clear sales targets, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Create and implement sales incentive programs to drive motivation and performance.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Identify client needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions.
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  4. Revenue Generation:
    • Drive the achievement of sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Lead the sales team in prospecting, qualifying, and closing high-value deals.
    • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast.
  5. Market Expansion:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
    • Establish and nurture partnerships and alliances to drive business growth.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and market changes to adapt sales strategies accordingly.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in sales leadership roles, preferably in the logistics or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
