As Reporting accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance department, working under the supervision of the Finance Manager. Your role will be crucial in aiding senior management with vital business decisions by preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts. Our ideal candidate is meticulous, solution-focused, and determined to meet monthly reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency. Your role will encompass budgeting, forecast and other management reports.

Reporting Accountant- Ports and Terminals at DP World July 2024
Job FunctionAs Reporting accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance department, working under the supervision of the Finance Manager. Your role will be crucial in aiding senior management with vital business decisions by preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts. Our ideal candidate is meticulous, solution-focused, and determined to meet monthly reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency. Your role will encompass budgeting, forecast and other management reports.
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure all financial reports and management accounts are prepared accurately and on time.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Review accounts against prior months and budgets for reasonableness.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecast
- Supporting in statutory audit for the company and making sure all audit requests are attended to on time.
- Preparation of various performance reports and working closely with other departments to improve their performance.
- Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications Required:
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA

Experience and Skills Required:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience of proven work experience as a Reporting accountant or similar role.
- Advance knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Oracle)
- Month-End Expertise: Experience with month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis.
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Time-management skills
- Organizational skills and Attention to details
- Abilities to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
- Maintain confidentiality
