BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER. POSITION; BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER.
JOB PURPOSE;
The job holder will be responsible for growth of revenues and customer numbers for branch to meet the annual premium targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;
1. Secure new business
2. Service existing business and follow up to ensure renewal
3. Maintain excellent customer service
4. Undertake initial underwriting in accordance with set guidelines to ensure sound acceptance of risk
5. Recruit new customers and grow business
6. Prepare daily sales report to manager
7. Guide and assist clients on claims processing
8. Ensure retention of business as per renewal KPI
9. Deliver on performance requirements as defined in the strategy ma and personal score card
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES;
Ø Achievement of production targets
Ø Customer satisfaction
Ø Customer retention

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma / bachelor degree in insurance or business related field
· At least two years’ experience in similar position
· Knowledge of insurance industry
· Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements
· Knowledge of sales and marketing
