The World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg) Tanzania Jobs 2024Procurement Of Consulting Services-Individual at WorldVeg Tanzania April 2024
WorldVeg is looking for a consultant to assist with business development in Africa.
Applicants are invited to submit:
A cover letter explaining:
o Suitability for and interest in the assignment.
o Proven competence in written and spoken English, good writing and editorial skills,
o Proven skills in developing and writing successful funding proposals.
o Have high energy, confident presenter who is able to engage people and get them to commit funding/and or to partnering with WorldVeg.
o Strong organizational and time management skills, and very strong networking skills and excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
o Ability to work effectively across multiple functions, locations and cultures. An updated curriculum vitae showing:
o Master’s degree in Social Science, Business Management, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field,
o Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in developing fund-raising strategy and institutional resource mobilization, understanding of the development sector and grants management,
o A proven track record of fundraising from major donors, corporate and foundations,
o 5-10 years business/management experience, o Fluency in French will be an added advantage.

Technical/Quality Criteria Score Weight (%)
1. Education background Social Science, Business Management, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. 15
2. Demonstrated experience in developing fund-raising strategy and institutional resource mobilization, understanding of the development sector and grants management (8 years minimum) 40
3. Proven track record of fundraising from major donors, corporate and foundations. 20
4. Experience in business management (5-10 years minimum) 10
5. Strong motivation and communication and language skills 15
