Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with AUMS Site Safety Policy.
- Mandatory participation in the AUMS Graduate Program, consisting of a minimum of two (2)years working underground.
- Support the Senior Mining Engineer and Foreman in providing evidence-based data and provide daily reporting on the operation.
- Prepare and present a weekly plan using 7:21 principles.
- Forecasting Ground Support and Drill Consumables, with regular stock take of materials.
- Quality Control including pull testing of ground support bolts, and explosive product cup testing.
- Conduct Mine Control when required, including accurate data collection and provide detailed Shift Mine Report.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (Bsc) within the previous twelve (12) months.
- Enrol to the Engineers Registration Board (ERB), within six(6) months of graduation.
- Compliance to AUMS Site Safety Policy.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Pass Site Medical Examination.
- Provide a satisfactory Certificate of Good Behaviour from the Police Authority. Additional Requirments
- Discipline knowledge commensurate with studies.
- Demonstrated capacity to make sound and timely decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements
- Valid Tanzanian driver’s licence.
- Basic First Aid certificate.
- Prior experience at an underground mining as part of university Practical Training or equivalent.
