with members of the cooperative in Dakawa, Haslestad remarked that Yara
is fully committed to participating in Feed the Future to boost
agricultural productivity in Tanzania. About 2000ha of land serving more
than 800 farmers all are rice growers and they are under a very strong
farmers association called UWAWAKUDA.

UWAWAKUDA (LTD) was registered in 2006 and obtained registration number MGR 369 for the purpose of linking smallholder farmers engaged in rice irrigation farming in the Dakawa valley to improve the living conditions of Members, their families and the National generally. Thus, the Board of the Association of UWAWAKUDA (LTD) welcomes applications for qualified Tanzanians with the capacity to fill three (3) positions as set out in this announcement.
