The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is seeking to recruit a Radiographer to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities
- Maintain registration to practice in Tanzania as Radiographer.
- Report environmental hazards when observed.
- Provide x-ray support to emergency medical services for client personnel located in NMGM as required and directed by Medical Officer.
- Act as a key member to the emergency medical services group on in NMGM and take part as directed by the senior NMGM medical staff.
- Provide x-ray support for provision of general medical services to clients of NMGM clinic.
- Perform x-ray operations as per equipment provided, for both general, medical checkup and occupational health programs as directed by doctor.
- Provide supportive x-ray services on an emergency basis, as directed by the doctor.
- Prepare reports of x-ray actions on a regular basis including types and number of x-rays performed usage of chemicals/films, extra-ordinary x-rays taken or sent to other sites when required and maintenance/ repair of site x-ray equipment requirements.
- Provide a safe working environment and maintain internationally recognized standards of x-ray safety for all staff and clients.
- Record daily, weekly & monthly statistics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Tanzania OHS regulations and corporate codes of practice.
- Participate in ongoing competency skills training.
- Maintain professional development in relation to current international standard medical record skills and knowledge.
- Be available to work any shift according to roster requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to NMGM business and clients.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned by the OHM Supervisor.

Qualification requirements
- Graduated from a recognized medical institution providing academy level or better x-ray training.
- Fully qualified to practice as a Radiographer in country of appointment through the government approval process.
- Must demonstrate good oral / written communication skills in English.
- Team Player and result oriented.
- Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain a safe working practice and environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Punctuality.
- Must have computer skills in software, power point, M/S word and MS excel.
Experience and competencies needed.
- 2-3 years, working in a Mining Industry will be an added advantage.
- Experience of working in medical institutions reflecting ability to perform on client sites as above requirements.
- Understanding of Law as it relates to medicine.
- Ability to work autonomously/independently with limited supervision.
- Good time management skills and the ability to complete tasks in a safe, timely and professional fashion.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

About the Team
The North Mara gold mine is located in north-west Tanzania in the Tarime district of the Mara region. It is around 100 kilometres east of Lake Victoria and 20 kilometres south of the Kenyan border.
North Mara started commercial production in 2002. The mine is a combined open pit and underground operation from two deposits, Gokona (underground) and Nyabirama (open pit). The process plant has the capacity to process an average of 8,000 tonnes of ore per day.
