The Tanzania Women Research Foundation (TAWREF) was formed and registered as a Tanzanian NGO in 2010 with a focus on service provision to marginalized groups, inside and outside Kilimanjaro region. TAWREF works to transform the lives of vulnerable populations
The organization is looking for one competent, energetic, committed, experienced Tanzanian to immediately fill in the position of the Project Accountant for the EpiC Project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the finance and administration functions; Monitoring expenditures and liquidation of expenses; Generating and distributing Monthly, Quarterly, Biannual and Annual Financial Reports; Reviewing Monthly Time sheets of EpiC Project employees together with the EpiC Project Manager; Preparing balance sheets, Bank reconciliations, as directed by the Director of Finance and Administration; Providing required cooperation during Internal and year-end External Audit. Any other assigned responsibility by the Management.

Reports to Director of Finance and Administration.
Career Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience in at least 2 accounting packages preferably Quick Books.
- Experience with various Accounting Standards and Compliance requirements.
- More than 2 years’ experience as Project Accountant.
- Proficient in verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with innovations, taking initiatives and setting priorities.
- Knowledge of the project structure in a target-oriented environment.
- Experience working under pressure.
- Knowledge and experience with USAID Financial Management Requirements including meeting important deadlines.
- Project Fund Monitoring.

Contract Duration for this vacancy: 12 months with possibilities of extension.
A minimum of two referees from individuals who have worked with the candidate and are familiar with his/her personal integrity.
