The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international non-governmental organization with a mission to accompany, serve, and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. The organization was founded in November 1980 and has a presence in over 56 countries. JRS undertakes services at national and regional levels with the support and guidance of an international office in Rome.
The style of JRS service is human and spiritual, working in situations of greatest need, seeking the long-term wellbeing of refugees, while not neglecting their immediate or urgent needs.

Job Description:
Under the direction and supervision of the Education Coordinator and Project Director, assists in the responsibility of administration and management of the Education Program
The Education Volunteer primary responsibility is to Support the implementation of JRS education activities in Kibondo –Kigoma, Tanzania in order to guarantee the quality of formal and informal education services provided to refugees.
The position requires good communication skills, leadership, expertise in Special Education and the capacity to work with a team. Analytical thinking and the capacity to research innovative intervention methods, as well as creativity and flexibility are also expected.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Volunteer
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Volunteer at JRS Burundi TZ January, 2024
Job Description:
The Psychosocial Volunteers’ primary responsible is to cooperate with Psychosocial coordinator to manage, coordinate, and administer the psychosocial program in JRS Kibondo/Kasulu project, which includes identification of vulnerable population, support groups, awareness campaigns, individual peer support by refugee peer counsellors and sports/recreational activities for youth among others.
