The key responsibilities of this role is to co-ordinate, coach and control the activities of the level one maintenance teams in the production environment and to provide specialist technical advice to ensure maximum equipment availability.

- Comply with VPO safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and legislation
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems
- Plan and prepare the job
- Carry out repairs / maintenance
- Continuously improve (optimise) plant, process equipment and systems
- Operate plant and process equipment
- Maintain Calibration Registers
- Communicate effectively in teams
- Contribute to self and team development
- Develop team competencies
- Identification of unsafe practices.
- Safety inspections conducted.
- Safe maintenance practices audited.
- Adherence to PPE policies.
- Maintenance tools are in good working order
- Apply the VPO principles and practicesAll work is carried out using the VPO principles

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years production Engineering experience with 3 years in supervisory level is desirable
- Knowledge of Brewing and Packaging plant will be an advantage
- PC literate (Proficiency in Microsoft office applications)
- Min – 3 - 5 years Utilities engineering in a FMCG environment
- Fundamentals Of Utilities
- Advanced Utilities
- Asset Management
- 2-3 Years Electrical with in-depth Electrical knowledge. Planning experience required
- Experience in medium voltage substation preferably 11kV
- Ability to maintain Standby generators up to 10MW
- Ability to maintain Power factor correction units
