The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is seeking to recruit a QA/QC to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the area to be charged is properly demarcated.
- Explosive handling – Safely store explosives on bench.
- Dipping of drilled holes to ensure design parameters are achieved.
- Priming of the holes to be charged with bulk explosives.
- Checking initial and final stemming height during the charging process.
- Ensure correct stemming of blast holes.
- Spotting the stemming loader operator as the loader traverses the charged pattern.
- Conduct housekeeping on the charged pattern.
- To assist with the final tie up of the charged pattern.
- Acting as a Blast Guard when required.
- Perform any other related task assigned by supervisor.

Qualification requirements
- Certificate of Secondary education or above.
- NMGML is an equal opportunity employer: Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- At least Two (2) years of experience preferably working in drill and blast section or Open Pit Mining environment
- Must have a valid Tanzania driving license
- Able to Drive Manual Transmission/Stick Shift Transmission.
- Strong Safety Background and ability to drive a Safe working environment and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

About the Team
The North Mara gold mine is located in north-west Tanzania in the Tarime district of the Mara region. It is around 100 kilometres east of Lake Victoria and 20 kilometres south of the Kenyan border.
North Mara started commercial production in 2002. The mine is a combined open pit and underground operation from two deposits, Gokona (underground) and Nyabirama (open pit). The process plant has the capacity to process an average of 8,000 tonnes of ore per day.
