To Provide Support in implementations of the revised ORMF (Operational & Resilience risks), and newly introduced Operational risk system (ORMS), Specifically on supporting businesses in ingestions of the data from manual templates and providing guidance on how to navigate through the system (ORMS)
Provide Support on the embedment of Risk Data Aggregations and risk reporting (RDARR) by tracking Data issues and Limitations and remediation.

Friendliness- Providing support and guidance while Conducting Risk Control Self-Assessment and Critical Process Assessment (RCSA/CPA) control testing.Providing guidance on Key Risk Indicator assessment (KRI) and adoptions into the ORMSProvide Support on issues and actions Management trackingSupporting business stakeholders in the Adoption and uploading of all Approved Framework, Policies, and Standards documents into the system for publicationsActive participation in execution of combined assurance planGuide business units to comply with requirements of risk events management standardsSupporting stakeholders on how to capture Dispensations, Waiver and Breaches maintained in excel into the Operational risk systemProviding support and guidance while Conducting Risk Control Self-Assessment and Critical Process Assessment (RCSA/CPA) control testing.Support the embedment of resilience risk into business unitsProvide Support on issues and actions Management trackingSupporting business stakeholders in the Adoption and uploading of all Approved Framework, Policies, and Standards documents into the system for publications
Risk and Controls Objectives
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Absa Operational Risk Framework and internal Absa Policies and Standards
- Manage risk and control effectively by applying applicable risk frameworks and embedding a positive risk culture
- Understanding of own role in the end-to-end processes in which you play a part, including applicable risks and controls.
- Adhere to Absa’s policies and procedures applicable to own role, demonstrating sound judgement and responsible risk management.
- Report all risk events / incidents / issues using the defined process for your business area and help to understand why these happened and how to prevent them in future.
- Proactively look for ways to improve the control environment by considering what could go wrong in the processes you operate and how errors could be prevented.
- Continuous and proactive engagement with regulatory bodies, unions where applicable
