Insight management is recruiting on behalf of a client for the following positions below:
Shipping and Transit Manager
Reports to: Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
• Management of all Logistics and transit operations
• Review and improve operational processes
• Maintain and monitor daily workflow
• Meet set KPIs
• Manage and monitor team performance
• Allocate workloads within the team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absence
• Coach and counsel employees to deliver expected outcomes
• Conduct customer service tasks, deliver customer satisfaction & guarantee quality operations
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of operations
• Review & improve Import, Export and Customs operational processes
• Maximise efficiency and shipment profit
• Oversee all compliance issues
• Alert changes in customs & trade regulations, identify risks and mitigate the impact on operations and clients
• Report import and export transactions regularly in regards to customs broker activities, issues encountered and escalation
• Work with internal stakeholders to obtain information or data required for Import & Export Customs & Clearance activities
• Ensure Customs-related record keeping is met by internal and external stakeholders
• Process client requests or disputes
• Notify the MD of client shipments that exceed their credit limit
• Accounts payable:Process supplier invoices to accounts
• Netting: Process overseas invoices to accounts
• Respond to netting queries
• Handle escalation, complaints & feedback
Requirements:
• At least five years of Operations Manager experience
• Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Freight Forwarding
• Proven track record of leadership roles
• Knowledge of the local transport industry (including Customs, Compliance Issues, Health and Safety, and Quarantine)
Warehouse Assistant
Reports to: Administration Manager
Based in Arusha
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of meets customers’ expectations and business timelines
• Utilize handheld units to pick items according to the Warehouse Management System
• Inspect items to ensure they’re not damaged or faulty
• Pack products with pride, treating each parcel as the cycle of experience with Sage x Clare
• Ship and fulfil customer orders in inventory systems; WMS, Dear, Shopify and StarShipIt
• Assist with unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into WMS and palletising of stock in the warehouse
• Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring stock levels on picking shelves are maintained and monitors stock inventory
• Perform stocktakes bi-annually on all products in the warehouse, as well as participate in scheduled cycle counts
• Maintain a safe and clean work space and environment
• Wears PPE
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely manner
• Undertake necessary training to operate warehouse machinery
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any business-related studies
• Experience: 3-5 Years’ experience in Logistics is an added advantage.

Accountant
Reports to : Managing Director
Responsibilities
• Ensure completeness of supporting documentations for payment
• Invoice coding and data input into the system on a daily basis.
• Responsible for petty cash disbursements, replenishment and petty cash count.
• Ensure bank and petty cash transactions are recorded on a daily basis.
• Prepare monthly cash-flow control sheets with original documents of all transactions and send them to External Auditor.
• In coordination with operation officer, forecast of funds needed
• ensure the positive cash flow in the Office.
• Review field budget activities to ensure cost efficiency.
• Coach and train field staff in all matters regarding financial reports.
• Ensure all transactions are processed and ready in time for month end and quarter end close as per agreed timetable,
• Review payment vouchers, bank & petty cash control sheets,
• Verify travel expense reports.
• Ensure all procurements comply with competitive 3 quotes bidding.
• Issue, track and reconcile approved travel advances to field office staff; review advance reconciliation and claims for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage filing/archiving of all AP documents and admin files (including invoices, payment vouchers, credit memos, expense reports, AP adjustments via AP Module)
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting / Business Administration
• 3-5 Years experience
• Knowledge of and experience in applying accounting procedures and protocols in budget administration and financial forecasting, analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated capacity to think strategically with expertise in complex problem
solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with computerized financial systems, such as accounting programs, databases, payment processing, excel spreadsheets, payroll services.
• Experience in preparing for and coordinating financial audits
QHSE Officer
Reports to : Managing Director
Responsibilities
• actualize QHSE policy and procedures in order to ensure that none gets hurt while working for or with the company. In this function the authority is granted to implement changes to conditions that create unacceptable high-risk levels and with ultimate sanction to interrupt any operation should those high-risk conditions prevail
• Establish, document and implement an internal audit programme that is in conformance with the internal audit procedure, ensure audit are timely conducted,reports are prepared, follow-up are made to ensure nonconformity are verified and closed
• Chair of external Audits and ensure all finding from clients,certifications boards, Government Authorities etc make follow to ensure findings are addressed
• Ensure meetings with Top management (management reviews) are conducted and communicate the performance of Quality, Environmental, H e a l t h and safety management system
• Establish and maintain Procedures,Policies, forms etc reviewing them regularly in conformance with procedure for control of documents
• Assist in accident, dangerous occurrence and near miss investigation and the production of reports detailing underlying causes, conclusions and recommendations to prevent a recurrence.
• Ensure all legal and other requirements either originating from clients and interested parties are identified and actions are taken to enhance compliance/conformity
• To hold regular QHSE meetings and take part in safety inspections and audits with location management, line supervision and safety staff
• To carry out regular reviews and updates the QEHSMS and discuss the QHSE implications of any proposed new modifications to the facility, equipment and work routines
• Assist the company in suppliers and subcontractor’s management that will enhance performance and fulfillment of customer requirement (satisfaction)
• Conduct of monthly health, safety and environmental meeting and training with all employees, visitors and subcontractors.
Requirements
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written, and able to communicate well with students, staff and parents
• Bachelor degree in QA/Safety or equivalent and a strong technical background preferably in the logistics industry. –
• Minimal 5 years of experience Preferably QHSE in the logistics industry. –
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of risk assessment techniques, incident
investigation, Safety Management Systems and underlying principles (9001,
18001, 14001, ISM).
• - Knowledge of QHSE related applicable legislation, regulations and relevant codes (national and international).
