PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Coordinator 1 – Motor Vehicle Training role focusses exclusively on training, assessing, and coaching of employees on safe driving of motor vehicles onsite. The role is responsible to develop the professional capabilities of employees on Light vehicles, Light trucks, Buses and supporting equipment’s in alignment with company safety standards and procedures. Mobile Equipment being one of the major hazards, the incumbent is expected to ensure adherence to proper authorization, training, and competence to site drivers to meet requirements of critical controls in place.

- Valid driving instructor's license or certification
- Valid Tanzania Driver's Licence (Class B, D, C, E)
- Completion of Secondary School Education
- Certificate IV: Training and Assessment – preferred not essential.

EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years proven experience as a driving instructor.
- Previous experience working within the mining industry.
- A strong focus toward safety and hazard identification.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle, and on-road regulations and teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
- Help employees to develop confidence in their driving skills and gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
- Provide defensive drivers training and steep terrain requirement to improve driving skills to all trainees. iv. Demonstrate capability on gaining control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
- Coordinate and administer LV, LT, Buses and supporting equipment’s drivers on training solutions as per available training matrix.
- Asses three dimensions LV, LT, Buses and supporting equipment drivers as per the company driving procedures and standards.
- Observe costs and ensure waste management in all activities to enhance productivity and abide by company safety rules and ethical behavior at all the times.
- Prepare and facilitate refresher programme for all drivers as per the company policy and procedures.
- Ensure all company equipment and other training facilities are used safely and well secured.
- Observe safety of equipment, and trainees all the time
- Ensure proper utilization of Learning management system and record management.
- Review training materials to suit any changes that is undergone on site.
- Report hazards and incidents to embrace safety organizational culture.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and
- Be able to demonstrate how they are continuing to develop their VET knowledge and skills as well as maintaining their industry currency and trainer/ assessor.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate skills transfer / on the job training / coaching.
- Knowledge of various training / coaching evaluation methods and performance monitoring
- He must also demonstrate strong work ethics, an ability to communicate courteously with co-workers.
- Passion to Learn (adoptability)
- Strong computer skills with intermediate proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills in English.
