Job Purpose:
Timely and quality assessment of proposals for credit facilities (new and/or existing) based on sound credit & financial principles with the view of providing expert opinion to the approving authorities for them make informed decision /judgement.

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct (specialist/ professional) credit assessment and evaluation to whether a credit proposal meets criteria and counter-party credit risk falls within acceptable parameters, and independently recommend appropriate credit proposal including terms or conditions where necessary to ring fence exposure in the following but not limited to staff loans, Wholesale, Mortgage loans, MSME, Consumer, Agribusiness, structured Trade facilities.
- Attend and present papers to Retail Credit Committee and Wholesale Credit Committee meetings.
- Prepare and present various credit reports as will be required to various committees.
- Interrogate information obtained to gain a thorough understanding of business parameters, which creates profit/value as well as the associated risks.
- Identify, quantify, and evaluate sources of risks of credit portfolio or individual client and where possible, provide mitigations.
- Provide technical support to other Credit Analysts / Officers, Relationship Officers (ROs)/Relationship Managers (RMs) including coaching to improve quality of the credit proposals recommended for approval.
- Appropriately structure a deal in line with the purpose and cash inflows.
- Review and approve applications up to TZS 50Million submitted to Credit.
- Review applications reviewed by Credit Analysts before submission for approvals.
- Adhere to agreed TAT and CREDCO (Retail and Wholesale) calendars without necessarily compromising with quality of the credit proposals / decisions.
- Attend CREDCO meetings (Wholesale and Retail) held on a weekly basis and provide sound Credit & financial principles opinions to approving authorities for final decision.
- Attend other Credit related meetings from Zones and other business units
- Review credit policy and related manuals and update where necessary.
- Be able to defend own judgement in a manner which does not negatively affect the business relationship.
- Utilize industry and market information available to identify and understand contextual threats to existing and potential clients.
- Build a smooth working relationship with business counterparty at Head Office and branches to improve quality of business proposals and turnaround time on credit evaluations.
- Detect and evaluate shifts or changes in key risk parameters in a business relationship or industry and evaluates the implications of such changes on continued business dealings.
- Work closely with the Credit Risk department members to comply with Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) testing and other quarterly reviews as per BOT requirements.
- Take and/or recommend remedial /appropriate actions for deteriorating exposure identified during review process;
- Leadership roles – mentor, guide and monitor Credit Analysts for timely and quality assessments and evaluation of propositions submitted (new/existing)
- Keep track records of all incoming and outgoing credit applications/memos etc.
- Respond to all audit and BoT queries when need be.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Business understanding of various industry sector Government/ Parastatals, manufacturing, wholesale, Agribusiness, and retail.
- Excellent understanding of credit and associated risks.
- Proven interpersonal skills in a Business or Credit environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Commerce/ Economics /Finance/Business or other related fields.
- At least 5 years' work experience in credit analysis both corporate and SME credit applications including but not limited to Agri, trade finance, project financing etc.

Job Purpose:
To create new and manage existing relationships effectively to facilitate the growth of Affluent and Mass Affluent Liability and Asset portfolio within Private Banking.
Main Responsibilities:
- Grow the Affluent and Mass Affluent customer proposition through a focused market segment approach by creating effective relationships that maximize revenues and Asset growth.
- Establish relationships with key corporations to offer them financial solutions.
- Support in the launch of products, sales strategy, and campaigns to key segments for profitable and quality business.
- Grow Affluent and Mass Affluent portfolio through Scheme & Non-Scheme Lending
- Fully exploit the existing customer relationships to create new profitable business opportunities.

Job Purpose:
Product Lifecycle Configuration is a sub- unit under Services Management.
The unit is responsible for managing the lifecycle of Core Banking Systems products from inception, through engineering, design, system implementation, to service and disposal of products.
The unit is accountable for ensuring all products related changes in the Core Banking Systems meets or exceeds quality level standards. The team is responsible to perform extensive business analysis and documentation of the requirements of complex product management projects, coordinating with cross-functional resources to achieve expected deliverables.
Main Responsibilities:
- Products configuration and changes in the Core Banking Systems
- Lead the implementation of products from concept to delivery by working closely with the business teams. Interact with external resources/software vendors to identify and resolve issues/problems and gaps.
- Gather product requirements related to Core Banking Systems from business units and translate them into technical requirements and solutions and/or write supporting requirement specification document.
- Partner internally with business stakeholders to understand technical trade-offs and architecture to drive product roadmap, positioning, requirements, and feature delivery.
- Provide product knowledge and mentoring to analysts and specialists.
- Business analysis and requirement documentation of complex product management projects for building of new products or enhancement / extension of current products.
- Ensure product readiness by all stakeholders is conducted before products are implemented in live environment.
- Oversee any new designs and deployments of all the products related changes in the Core Banking Systems.
- Ensure there is a clear end to end understanding of systems expectation and behavior.
- Define clear UAT test cases and scenarios and ensure a UAT is conducted and sign off is done for any changes on CBS systems (product/system setups, back-end fixes/patches, new releases).
- Manage products throughout life cycle in the Core Banking Systems. Analyze and simulate operational changes requested and ensure clear user acceptance tests are being signed off.
- Lead the periodic review and correction of different Core Banking Systems (CBS) products and services and ensure monitoring and continuously enhancements of the existing products in the system are handled with high technical expertise and reduce possibilities of income leakages.
- Ensure there is clear process and procedure to govern changes requested by business before implementation.
- Keeping track of all changes in existing products portfolio for audit purposes. Ensure all key issues of the system are being resolved/managed regularly.
- Work together with the various users of Core Banking Platforms, to provide support, system updates, testing, documentation, end-user training, etc.
- Innovate and propose new ideas on products offering using Core Banking Systems (CBS) technologies
- Explore systems capabilities which are not utilized and advise the business of the products and services which can be offered to customers.
- Link between business updates to application development to ensure technology solutions support business requirements.
- Lead the development of workflow improvements (i.e., the implementation of automated solutions to replace manually performed functions) throughout the various departments making use of the core banking applications.
- Identify systems gaps and develop suitable plans to close the gaps.
- Follow industry trends through exploring complementary and competitive products, meeting with partners, attending conferences, and investigating new technologies.
- Lead the products training efforts for all touchpoints to the business users, inclusive of documentation, publications, e-training tools.
