The Bank operates as a Development Finance Institution in line with its Business License No. 002 issued by the Bank of Tanzania on 4th August 2015.
TADB was established to facilitate the attainment of two broad goals which are:
- Facilitating attainment of sustainable food self-sufficiency and security in Tanzania.
- Facilitating the transformation of agriculture from subsistence to commercial in order to effectively and sustainably contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction.

TADB is looking to fill in the below vacancies:
PRINCIPAL INTERNAL AUDITOR
1 VACANCY – PAR ES SALAAM
NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
The jobholder reports to the Head of Internal Audit. He/She is responsible for carrying out audit functions in the bank and to oversee compliance with approved financial and operational controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To carry out periodic internal audits and timely issue draft report on each assignment in line with annual performance agreement,
- To conduct follow up to confirm implementation of previous audit recommendation and Board directives,
- To evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance and risk management processes and recommend for improvement/actions,
- To conduct review of audit manual. Charter and provide proposal for change in line with current professional practices.
- To conduct risk assessment and identify risk areas to be accommodated in annual audit plan,
- To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Internal Audi from time to time.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHN1CAL COMPETENCIES:
- Risk Management: Must have thorough understanding of the principles and techniques of risk assessment and risk mitigation skills.
- Financial knowledge: Ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data/in- formation and make recommendations.
- Audit Standards and Legislations: Excellent knowledge of International Accounting and Audit Standards, and Legislations
- Compliance and Regulatory Framework: Good understanding of the regulatory issues, reporting and operational requirement as provided by BOT, TRA etc.
- Conceptual and Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp and understand systems and keen to detail
- Technology Skills: Ability to use of appropriate audit software for evidence collection, data analytics, test of controls, and compliance.
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree/Postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
- Internationally recognized professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIPFA or CPA (T).
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a banking industry and/or at a recognized audit firm at the Senior Officer level.
- Knowledge and skills in computer applications for auditing purposes like audit management software and data analytics.
- Leadership and management skills.
TREASURY SETTLEMENT OFFICER
1 VACANCY – PAR ES SALAAM
NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
The role involves reporting to the Finance Manager/Financial Controller and entails providing daily support for dealing activities, with a focus on settlements, managing the bank’s positions and credit exposures. The position requires a high level of Treasury controls and compliance throughout the business, with the job holder working closely with the immediate Treasury Management and subordinates to ensure that transactions are processed in a robust control environment. The job holder is responsible for handling high-value transactions and plays a key role in process and control management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the Treasury Back Office, ensuring settlement and confirmation processing and control, and resolving queries
- Overseeing the input and processing of treasury transactions into the accounting system
- Coordinating statutory accounts from a treasury perspective.
- Managing all treasury management reporting, including monthly Treasury Reports.
- Maintain, review, and implement risk controls, and enable better visibility of treasury transactions.
- Managing the intra-day and end-of-day processing requirements of systems and liaising with the Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
- Capitalizing on system solutions and driving out manual processes while maintaining, reviewing, and implementing business risk controls.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
- Having master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field, and Professional qualifications such as CPA,CFA,ACCA will be an added advantage.

- Ability to build effective relationships with others.
- Ability to evaluate priorities across processes/teams and facilitates agreement to changing priorities and new challenges by monitoring progress of jobs and agreeing to work schedules.
