POSITION TITLE: WEIGHBRIDGE SHIFT INCHARGE (1 POST)
Scope of Position:
The successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable lengths of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Holder of Bachelor Degree in any profession from a recognized Higher Learning Institution/College;
- Age: must be between 35 – 45 years;
- Must be Computer literate; and
- Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili languages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out activities as described in the East African Community Vehicle Load Control Act, 2016 and its Regulations, 2017. The activities include the following;
- To Weigh Motor Vehicles of Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)> 3,500Kg on our Public Roads;
- To impose road damage fee on the spot when the vehicle is found overloaded;
- To Measure physical dimension of motor vehicles or any load being carried on the motor vehicle and in case of non-compliance with vehicle dimension limits, the transporters should be caused to seek for a special permit;
- To ascertain compliance to the abnormal permit. Any discrepancy should be reported to the Weighbridge In-Charge for appropriate action; and
- To perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
POSITION TITLE: Weighbridge Operator – (2 Posts)
Scope of Position
The successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable lengths of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Holder of Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized Higher Learning Institution/Colleges;
- Age: Not above 35 years;
- Must be computer literate; and
- Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili languages.

Key qualifications
- Holder of Diploma in Accountancy from any recognized learning Institution; or equivalent qualification recognized by NBAA(ATEC II);
- Must be computer literate;
- Must not be above 35 years of age;
- Must be fluent in Kiswahili and English languages;
- Must be a Tanzania citizen.

Duties and Responsibilities
- To collect all weighbridge charges (fees) according to weighbridge report form;
- To seek current USD exchange rates issued by Bank of Tanzania for case of imposing charges that are equivalent to Tanzania shillings and keep exchange rate records;
- To fill all necessary records timely; and
- To perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Shift In charge/Supervisor.
POSITION TITLE: DRIVER (5 POSTS)
Scope of position
The successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable lengths of time when required under minimum supervision.
Key qualifications
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other recognised institution and driving license Grade C or E with good track record in driving for not less than one (1) year.
- At least three years’ Experience
- Age: Not above 35
- Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving office vehicles;
- Ensuring that the vehicle he drives and accessories are always in good condition;
- Keep vehicle’s movement records in log book;
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after “safari” in order to identify defects that may need maintenance;
- Supervising the maintenance of the car; and
- Performing any other duties related to his/her work.
Apart from professional qualifications requirements outlined in the position, candidates to assume the positions must be trustworthy, responsible, reliable, accountable and with high degree of integrity.
