Overview
The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To provides support to exploration geologists and technicians in executing geological mapping, rock sampling, drilling operations (RC and Diamond) transporting samples from fields, core shed /yard for sample processing and storage. In case of other exploration geological work, he should assist in Geophysical and Geochemical survey programs during execution of GGM’s Consolidation Strategy.

- At least secondary school education or Certificate in geology/mining/mineral processing from recognized institution.
- Possession of Valid Tanzania Driving License Class D and E or C.

EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 1 year working experience on exploration or mining environment.
- Experience on geological sampling or other exploration related fields work and Considerable awareness on safety, health and environmental aspects related to exploration field works and sampling qualities will be added advantage.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensuring HSE is compliant.
- Ensure drill support vehicle is road worth by conducting prestart check list and communicate to core shed supervisor or exploration logistics officer on any shortfall in vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned at least every four days.
- Provide support to team lead on core and RC moves for storage or disposal.
- Shifting drill cores and RC samples from drill site to core shed area and sample farm using LV and or LT.
- Transporting consumables from main stores to Geology min store.
- RC/GC and DD sampling at core shed or drill site.
- Core photographing.
- Core Marking.
- Housekeeping.
- Core cutting.
- Ensure established company’s HSE policies and procedures are well maintained at core shed/yard.
- Assisting logistics 3 to ensure all vehicles have been inspected once per month prior monthly service and coordinating all vehicles are sent for planned monthly service.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication skills (Able to speak and understand English language).
- Be physically and mentally fit and hard working.
- Be able to work at minimum supervision.
- Highly motivated and willing to attend work on call out duties when required.
