Responsibilities for housekeeping attendant
- Restock paper, hand sanitizer and hand soap supplies
- Cleans and maintains guest rooms, guest corridors, linen rooms and cupboards according to set standards and procedures and replenishes guest supplies
- Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or site relocation
- Maintains cleanliness of department equipment and reported needed repairs to maintenance Supervisor
- Clean rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas
- Change the linen and making beds daily
- Clean the bathroom to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Clean public bathrooms
- Linen distribution on the floors
- Keep equipment storage area and housekeeping closet locked, organized and clean
- Stock general housekeeping supplies
- Observe precautions required to protect self and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
- To clean all assigned rooms and designated public area in accordance with the Established procedure
- Report any guest complaints, incidents of suspicious persons on the floor to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Change the room status as appropriate, occupied clean, vacant pick up
- Maintains responsibilities for the keys which have been signed for, within his/ her possession

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Inform guests of hotel rates and services
- Make and confirm reservations for guests
- Ensure proper room allocation
- Register and check guests in
- Confirm relevant guest information
- Verify guest’s payment method
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization
- Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms
- Maintain clear and accurate records of guest room bookings
- Compute all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accountsReceive and transmit messages for guests
- Retrieve mail, packages and documents such as faxes for guests
- Listen and respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone
- Provide accurate information about local attractions and services
- Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints

Recommended:

- WORKING Knowledge with OPERA software is an added advantage
