ABOUT TEGETA VOCATION TRAINING CENTER (TVTC) BUSINESS TRAINING PROJECT
Tegeta Vocational Training Center (TVTC) is one of the training centers funded by GNTZ and handed over to the Kinondoni Municipal Council for Operation and Management. The center offers vocational training specialized in Motor vehicle and mechanics courses, tailoring courses, electrical courses, ICT courses, and driving courses. In the process, GNTZ is currently implementing the Third phase of the Youth Graduates Economic Empowerment Project; with the objective of contributing to the socio-economic empowered youths and self-reliance in the community.
The target beneficiaries are the youth graduates from TVTC in the year 2021, an estimated 34 youth, and the location is TVTC – Madale: KMC The proposed training is to capacitate the youth in initiating, operating, and managing the business. In relation to this, GNTZ is expected to award the starting business capital to the mentioned youth number, however, for effectiveness and sustainability, the need first to equip the youth with the business skills, including business starting, operation, and managing is mandatory. Thus GNTZ has a higher expectation for the consultancy of transforming the knowledge and skills of the youth in business-related aspects

OBJECTIVES

SCOPE OF WORK
TVTC Youth Economic Empowerment Project is limited only to TVTC graduates
The project will be implemented in the way of building the business capacity of the youth by initiating and developing their own small business under support from GNTZ
Entrepreneurship and business management skill training should include Introduction to business and entrepreneurship development. Sustainable business model – Organization, Leadership, and operation management. Business and entrepreneurship management skills- marketing management, production management, financial management, and necessary skills/content as proposed by the consultancy
Target beneficiaries are between 32-52 youth
The training location will be at TVTC located in Madale CDP for a period of five days
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANCY
a.
Preparation of the Business training manual with a timeline for
providing the training to the youth and sharing the soft copy of the

b. Facilitate business training to the selected youth at TVTC
c. To impart knowledge and skills to the youth
d. To submit the final business training report which presents the training activity result, recommendation, and other related content within seven days after completion of the training
REPORTING
In all matters related to the assignment, the consultant/firm will work with the GNTZ administration section of procurement and linked with the Project Officer from Good Neighbors Tanzania – HO, and progress will be reviewed by the OD Manager and Country Director of Good Neighbors Tanzania.
TIMELINE
The study is expected to be completed within fourteen days (14 days) after the recruitment and agreement are signed with the consultancy firm on the assignment.

The consultant will be required to vest the following qualities;
i. Post Graduate Degree/Doctorate in Community Development, Development Studies, Economics Development, Business Development, Market Design, Entrepreneurship, and other relevant disciplines.
ii. Minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting Income generating activities or any related business programs.
iii. Minimum 3 years’ experience in working with INGOs or NGOs in similar works/projects.
iv. Fluency in English and Swahili in both spoken and written communication.
v. Highly knowledgeable on editorial techniques and ability to present data clearly and concisely.
vi. Extensive knowledge of community development, rural development, Social youth challenges, Business initiating, and managing
vii. Highly developed analytical and writing skills.
viii. Have own equipment for conducting field data collection e.g. transport facilities, laptop, digital camera, voice recorder etc.

THE APPLICATION PACK SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWINGS: –
· CVs of the consultants/the consultant team including details on how they meet the required specializations.
· Methods: Consultants/firms should submit a detailed methodology as part of their proposal, which will include an explanation of how this proposal will achieve the study objectives, taking the guidance given in the ToR.
· Business training manual with the schedule for five days
· Quotation, which shows the total cost for all services mentioned before
· Background and Certificates (Business License, TIN, or VAT certificate)
· Study experience and capability: The consultancy/firm should detail organizational experience and capability in handling the work.
· Two examples of similar approved work – signed and stamped
