The safety officer is an internal employee who is assigned to prevent accidents, respond to emergencies and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's safety programs.

Department: Medical Services
Reports to: Clinic Manager
Working station: Mwanza region
Job Summary:
She/he should be able to carry out quality patient care in accordance with current Nursing Care Plans & guidelines and to report any changes in a patient’s condition to the Medical doctor on duty for prompt review. She/he should be able to work independently and without close supervision. She/he should possess excellent computer skills, professionalism, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, be compassionate, inspiring and confident.

Job Title: Safety Officer
Department : Safety and Quality
Reports to: Managing Director
Job Summary:
The safety officer is an internal employee who is assigned to prevent accidents, respond to emergencies and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Provides HSE leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all consultancy clients
- Track Company and client’s health and safety metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risks
- Assist in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventive actions
- Ensures emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations.

- Maintains all Local and International permits in current and valid condition.
- Recommends and administers operational policies, procedures, and processes in support of auxiliary services operations in assigned area of responsibility; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.
- Manage schedules and deadlines
- Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation and implementation
- Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments
- Ensures that all contacts with clients provides the client with a personalized customer service experience of the highest level and builds interest towards our consultancy services
- Business Development, Marketing and ensuring profitable HSE consultancy operations
- Per-forms HSE activities including consultancy, training, surveys, monitoring and evaluations, and any other safety programs as necessary.
- Prepares regulatory agency submissions including but not limited to OSHA Lopes/reports.
- Maintains current working knowledge of all applicable HSE regulations.
- Maintains all necessary training and licensing to function as a per authority on all safety matters.

- Minimal qualification Bachelor Degree of Science in Environmental Sciences and Management
- Health, Safety, Regulations, Training, Education, Risk Assessment, Analysis, Auditing, Inspection, Communication, Corporate Responsibility
- At least 3 years’ experience working as HSE in any reputable organization

- Manage patients on patient controlled analgesia.
- Manage patients on critical support machines.
