Location – Dar es Salaam

Cleaning and Gardening manager will perform various functions, which would involves providing supervisory role to ensure effective operational delivery of cleaning and gardening services.
Cleaning manager will oversee, train, and inspect all works assigned to employees, ensuring that all works are performed to the standard.

Major duties, tasks, and responsibilities will be;

• Heading all marketing, clearing and gardening functions of the company,
• Doing all marketing for the company and make sure we secure new contracts
• Managing and motivating a team of cleaning staff
• Conducting stock management of consumables and spares
• Ensuring employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their role
• Deploy and train staff on the use of latest cleaning and gardening technology while providing instructions and supervision where necessary
• Oversee all escalations and performance management developments
• Supervise performance of cleaning and gardening team
• Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
• Collaborate with clients to ensure there are no problems on site
• Keep close interaction, communication, and coordination with the Front Office and other departments
• Support in maintaining a highly trained and motivated staff that constantly strives for excellence in cleanliness and service
• Proficiently clean clients’ homes to meet both company and client standards
• Supervise all employee work on assigned site, to make sure it meets the company and client standards
• Have a conversation with clients regarding appointment time, and for the period of cleaning and gardening
• Drive to every location with the team along with supplies in official vehicle
• Design Company strategies and supervise its implementations
• Develop strategic direction of the company and make sure that the company attain sustainable growth and income generation
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and show an example for other employees to emulate
• Make sure all employees follow company standards by constantly coaching and redirecting performance.

Experience and Qualification

· Must have more than three years’ experience on the same or related role
· Hardworking and good negotiator
· Good communication skills
· Good experience in clearing, landscaping and gardening works
· Ethical, hardworking and familiar with all job roles and responsibilities indicated above,
· Meet target within a specified period of time
· Very familiar with the area, government and companies in Dar es salaam,
· The person should be willing to work unlimited hours. There will be three months’ probation time. This is very demanding job and requires unlimited working time. Therefore, you need to think before applying.
