Position: Laboratory Assistant III
Reporting to:
Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
• Verify accuracy of test done by testers on shift, perform calibration of lab equipment and solution standardisation, analyse, and monitor quality on incoming materials from outside the plant.

Principal Accountabilities
• Prepare daily composite samples and test to cross check accuracy of daily test on shift
• Collect and analyses all incoming material; Analyze all incoming materials (Pozzolana, Gypsum, Raw Coal, Iron, Kerosene, HFO, Diesel, Ore and Bauxite) and report any deviation from specified target to Quality Assurance Manager
• Taking Daily Cement physical stock (Dipping)
• Verification and Calibration of Lab Equipment; Verification of Lab Equipment (RXF, Leco, Blaine apparatus, Calorimeter) and Grinding Aid pump
• Preparation and Standardization of Lab Solution
• Perform Particle Size Distribution of Raw Meal and Milled Cement when needed
• Involved in doing Laboratory and Plant Trials.
• Making follow up on Laboratory consumables
• Ultimately responsible for safe working practices especially in areas of responsibility
• Environment: Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify, and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area
• Any other duties as may be assigned by line management

Education
• Ordinary Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology or its related qualifications.

Knowledge and Specific Experience
• 2-3 years’ experience in cement or manufacturing industry.
• Proper sampling techniques, perform a variety of chemical analysis, Keep records accurately and neatly and prepare clean and concise reports, Work with limited supervision, Able to think for problem solving, Fairly independent, Able to take and follow instructions precisely, Able to give detailed and accurate feedback, Level of mathematical knowledge required, Able to speak, read well technical English, Computer knowledge, Good knowledge of safety procedures, Basic knowledge of computer skills (Windows, word and Excel), Attention to detail, Flexibility and Perform a variety of chemical analysis.

Position: Process Operator
Reporting to:
Production Shift Supervisor
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
• Responsible for operating the kiln, raw mill, and coal mill to ensure that the plant is running within required and according to the agreed parameters.

Principal Accountabilities
• Operate plant according to day’s instructions, monitoring the process and making adjustments as required to maintain optimum operating parameters
• Reporting; Maintain production log sheets; ensure accuracy of data in the log sheet and prepare daily reports
• Take part in any job related to production activities; work efficiently in a professional way example of special assignments: all sorts of cleaning, firefighting, special tests, refractory jobs etc.
• Information; Communicate to the supervisor any abnormality and ensure that feedback from laboratory on product quality is obtained
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility.
• Environment: Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify, and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area.

Education
• FTC/Diploma in Mining/Laboratory Technology or equivalent

Position: Plant Automation Technician
Reporting to
: Plant Automation Supervisor
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
• Perform skilled instrumentation/plant automation activities by providing technical service to optimize cost, equipment availability and customer satisfaction. Ensuring safe working practices towards zero harm. Utilize own and team efforts to achieve the objectives of the operation.

Principal Accountabilities
• Ensure plant control systems, instruments devices, signal transmission and communication are working properly and effectively
• Resolve plant instruments & automation problems using proper operating procedures (Fault finding diagnosis)
• Ensure all documentation is in a neat and tidy state
• Ensure that substations, gas analyzer rooms, weighing feeders’ rooms and remote IO signal panels are neat and operational
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility
• Environment: Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify, and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instill environmental awareness culture in his/her area
• Any other duties as may be assigned

• FTC/Diploma in Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering
Knowledge and Specific Experience
• Minimum 2 years instrumentation maintenance experience in cement or equivalent industry
• Must have extensive experience in PLC, instruments, and computer knowledge

Position: Plant Operator I (03 positions)
Reporting to
: Packing Plant Supervisor
Location: Tanga
Key responsibility
• Inspect rotary packer line and operate to load cement into trucks, bulk tanker, jumbo trucks, and rail wagons and ensure accurate bags weight.
Principal Accountabilities
• Inspect machines and bagging into cement bags; ensure that packer machines and bulk and Jumbo loading machine are running smoothly, report any unusual situation, ensure accurate packing as per product requirements and report bag performance while loading cement
• Operate all machine at Packing Plant including forklift; follow work instructions and procedure, ensure that the working area is cleaned, involved in the jumbo loading and other activities which may require the use of forklift and inspect and report plant equipment deficiencies/failures
• Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially at areas of responsibility
• Environment; Ensure environmental procedures are complied with, identify, and manage the environmental aspects and impacts in his/her area and instil environmental awareness culture in his/her area
• Any other duties as may be assigned
