SAT works closely with small scale farmers on organic farming and st akeholders like universities, companies and governmental extension officers. Its holistic approach is built on the four pillars dissemination, research, application and networking. Job Brief
We are looking for a talented Content Writer or Journalist to support our Communications department with high quality stories and texts about our work in Tanzania. You will create and develop media material together with our Communications manager in Swahili and English.
Tasks:
- Write high quality articles in cooperation with our team of experts
- Accompany our facilitators on their trips to our farmers and partners in the field to cover their work
- Develop and write success stories about our farmers
- Advertise SAT Farmer Training Courses, FairCarbon4Us, and other relevant consulting services
- Creation and further development of internal communication materials
- Management of in-country communications in local languages and local media outlets
- Manage and produce articles and texts for our international network of partners
- Proofreading and translation of reading materials
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- At least 3 years of experience as a journalist or similar
- Very good writing skills
- A degree-level qualification, preferably in Journalism / Marketing / Communications or similar
- High Interest in organic agriculture
- Team player who likes to learn new things
- IT skills (Excel, Word, Teams)
- Highly motivated
- Drivers-license to ride a motorcycle
- Experience in the NGO sector is a plus
- Work in remote areas
