IIS was founded in 1993 by a group of parents who desired high-quality education for their children. We have since grown to include students from more than 20 nationalities. Our Board of Management is comprised of volunteers from many different professional backgrounds.

Through the IB Primary Years Program, children in preschool and primary classes develop language capabilities, mathematical and science concepts, as well as trans-disciplinary social, thinking, and research skills. Students in our Secondary Program prepare for the rigorous University of Cambridge IGCSE examinations in more than 12 subjects. IIS has consistently performed well, with more than 2/3 of our graduating students performing at Grade C or higher.
