Job Summary
To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice/s and to ensure operational implementation and adaption i.t.o. organisational development methodology, governance and delivery objectives.
Job Description
- Assist in the delivery of the OE Strategy: Works with the OE Lead to create the framework for aligning and engaging people, the people management systems, and the structure and capabilities (including
- organisational culture) to the strategy of ABSA Develops key enabling methodologies including Organisation Design, Employee Engagement and Change Leadership to support execution of initiatives across
- ABSA Builds organisational capability and facilitate capability building sessions for HR Business Partners to meet businesses’ organisational effectiveness requirements
- Provides advisory support and mentoring to HR Business Partners | Effectively analyse business requirements to provide opportunities for OE intervention: Analyses trends and developments within and external to ABSA to proactively diagnose the need for targeted interventions | Effectively manage OE initiatives as required: Leads and facilitates the implementation of ABSA wide organisational effectiveness initiatives
- Monitors the implementation of the organisational effectiveness programmes to provide additional support and resources as appropriate (primarily through HR
- Business Partners)
- Identifies criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of organisational effectiveness initiatives and define measures to be used
- Assesses the effectiveness of organisational effectiveness initiatives within ABSA | Effectively Manage the Team: Optimally balance the resources in the team, and also utilizing the BP capacity to deliver and contribute to this team’s ability to make an impact to the overall business

- Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance development and informal coaching
- Determine development needs for the team itself and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed
- Interview and recruit new members of the team, including determining appropriate compensation levels with input from Human Resources.
- Approve leave requests for team members and create leave plan to ensure adequate coverage.
- When required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members calling on support
- from Human Resources when required
- Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required
