Job Title: Case Manager

Job Overview
The Case manager will work under the technical guidance and supervision of the Biomedical Technical Officer. S/he will be managing the clients from the EpiC program, that require further follow up, in terms of biomedical, behaviour and structural support. S/he will collaborate with Biomedical Health Providers to ensure continuum of care of a selected high risk Key and Vulnerable Population (KVP) in the project Districts and wards.

Qualifications for Data Entry Clerk
i. At least holder of Ordinary Diploma in in nursing or social science or other relevant field
ii. Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience with HIV prevention, care and treatment program and particularly with KVP and / or clients‘ continuum of care
iii. Extensive knowledge of the local health systems from the national to the local levels
iv. Ability to develop productive working relationships with regional and district level counterparts
v. Knowledge and experience in community-based teams’ management and supervision
vi. Proven leadership skills. as well as skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
vii. Ability to work with autonomy, responsibility and honesty
viii. Experience in preparing reports and technical documents
ix. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in - English and Swahili

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Function
Providing technical support and oversight to the implementation of community based activities for KVP and AGYW in the region, including the provision of biomedical services at community level, i.e. community-based HIV testing and counseling (CBHTC), pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV self-testing (HIVST), linkage to care, family planning (FP), services for gender-based violence (GBV) victims, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening. Also overseeing and coordinating activities to reduce KVP and AGYW vulnerability and address structural drivers and contextual factors that place these groups at risk. Working closely with Districts Health Team Management to build their capacity to provide these services; and developing and maintaining relationships with regional GoT counterparts, service providers and other implementing partners in the Districts. Additionally, ensuring that activities in the Districts are implemented in line with GoT, USAID/PEPFAR and EpiC guidelines and standards.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of comprehensive strategies for reaching KVP and AGYW and generating demand for services, including peer navigation, strategic behaviour change communication and other effective strategies for reaching vulnerable groups.
  • Work closely with Health care workers to develop capacity to conduct outreach to KVP, strengthen demand generation and service provision for these groups; build capacity to improve their ability to identify and engage KVP through the application of EpiC tools and strategies.
  • Monitor Health care workers performance against workplans and targets, provide on-site and remote technical assistance.
  • Liaise with service providers to monitor community based HTS and other services.
  • Liaise with regional GoT counterparts including District Health Management Teams, service providers, implementing partners and stakeholders to ensure activities are well-coordinated with other national and regional programs.
  • Contribute to technical briefs, reports, guidelines and other materials.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and other requirements specific to the role
  • Clinical degree (nurse, physician) with 3 to 5 years in provision of community based biomedical and demand generation services to KVP and AGYW
  • Knowledge of health and development programs in Tanzania including familiarity with relevant national guidelines, standards and protocols. Familiarity with the public health sector at regional, district and council level and experience working with these teams.
  • Experience implementing HIV/AIDS programs at community level in Tanzania; familiarity and experience with USAID/PEPFAR-funded programs.
  • Experience in programs serving KVP and AGYW. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and sound understanding of the needs of KVP and AGYW.
  • Experience in technical capacity building of local CSOs, especially those working with KVP and AGYW.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
  • Well-developed computer skills.

Job Overview
Data entry clerks are responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into a database, ensuring that all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, data entry clerks must verify and edit data as needed. Aside from the primary duty of data entry, data entry clerk is also responsible to perform other general Monitoring and Evaluation duties assigned by supervisors. 

Responsibilities:
a) Accurately enter data into the Infolink, DATIM, Project database, DHIS2, DAMES, IPRS and other project systems.
b) Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
c) Conduct Weekly, monthly and quarterly data collection and compilation
d) Conduct data review, checks and verifications
e) Manage and organize records and files within Mukikute and at facilities.
f) Prepare relevant reports as needed.
g) Perform any other M&E activities as assigned by Supervisors

Qualifications for Data Entry Clerk
i. At least holder of Ordinary Diploma in Health Information System, Record Management, Computer Science, Public Health, M&E etc.
ii. At least 2 years working experience in Data Management and M&E
iii. Computer literate especially in Database Administration, Microsoft Excel, Access, Words and PowerPoints.
iv. Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
v. Good communication skills and strong attention to details
vi. Ability to think analytically and able to work under pressure.
vii. Able to adhere Data Confidentiality and integrity.
