POSITION DESCRIPTION:Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Mobile Fleet HD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the Mobile Fleet Underground are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all maintenance procedures, and ensure the completion of mechanical activities according to standard without causing any further damage to any component/system/equipment.
- Ensure equipment isolation, adhere to working at height and confined space standards/ procedures, and conduct pre-start checks/ inspections.
- Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain Plant and Mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production and cost targets.
- Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective maintenance in order to solve unplanned equipment unavailability events.
- Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
- Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets, quality and quantity of materials/ resources etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspection according to the maintenance requirements and ensure preventive maintenance compliance.
- Conduct Mobile and Plant equipment upgrades/ modification as required.
- Removal of machine components and replacement.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to the First Line Leader on conditions that may affect functionality of equipment.
- Ensure First Line Leaders and all stakeholders are kept informed of equipment availability status.
- Follow up of outstanding maintenance/ repairs.
- Complete shift handover process.
- Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills, and develop full potential.
- The ability to prioritize repairs and take instruction in order to reduce downtime and delays is foremost in maximizing machine availability and operator utilization.
- Under the direction of the First Line Leader, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experience personnel.
- Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade
- Valid driving license
- Extensive knowledge on Sandvik Underground Trackless Mining Equipment
- Minimum 5yrs working on Sandvik mechanized mining equipment.
- Must have proven experience working as part of high speed mechanized jumbo development maintenance team with a sound understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on mobile machinery.
- Skills and knowledge on diagnose faults and rectify in a time efficient manner is critical.
- Exposure to work with automation of underground mechanized mining equipment.
- Exposure to industry best preventative maintenance regimes is imperative to ensure machinery and equipment is maintained to high level of availability at all times.
Mobile Maintenance Section Leader
Reporting to: Mobile Maintenance Superintendent

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Mobile Maintenance Section Leader to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the Mining Mobile Maintenance are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure immediate remedial action is made on all detected hazards from workplace and safety inspections; ensure weekly workshop audits are conducted and recorded.
- Regular presence on the workshop floor to ensure quality of work on all scheduled services, random checking of service sheets and other documentation to ensure timely completion of allocated tasks, including regular trips to underground working environments where maintenance personnel are working.
- Facilitate immediate action in the event of equipment breakdown and ensuring critical components are ordered where applicable.
- Liaise with the Maintenance Planner on a daily basis to ensure effective and efficient schedules are in place for the servicing and repair of equipment.
- Liaise with Mining Management on a regular basis to understand operational requirements.
- Effectively manage the execution of planned work orders to reflect the forecast maintenance planned schedule.
- Monitor and analyse equipment output metrics to identify areas of underperformance and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure cost allocation is accurate and work orders are complete to a high standard.
- Ensure maintenance spend conforms within budget requirements.
- Directly involved in formulating budgets, monitoring equipment availability, Inventory control, scheduling planned maintenance and ensuring sufficient people resources are made available to perform the work.
- Supports the Maintenance Superintendent in leading the Maintenance team in achieving the objectives of the department.
- Supports the Maintenance Planner in ensuring the department delivers on the requirements of the operational management.
- The ability to diagnose faults and transfer knowledge onto technicians to ensure faults will be rectified in a time efficient manner is critical.
- The ability to comprehend OEM and company machinery and equipment manuals, diagrams, drawings and communicate effectively with product suppliers and other stake holders on a daily basis to ensure a very high standard availability is achieved is critical to this role.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diesel Heavy Fitter Trade Certificate from a recognized training organization.
- Subsequent OEM machine training is highly regarded

- Minimum of 10 years underground experience performing maintenance on a large fleet of heavy-duty trackless mobile equipment, including Sandvik twin-boom jumbo’s, Sandvik loaders, Sandvik, and CAT underground dump trucks, McLean & Normet Spraymecs, and other ancillary mobile equipment.
- At least 5 years must have been spent engaged at a senior maintenance management level
- Must have ajira proven experience working as part of high-speed mechanized mining, maintenance team with expert working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on mobile machinery.
- Proven experience managing and training a team of maintenance personnel to high standards.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Being computer literate and previous experience using Pronto and navigating spreadsheets are essential.
- Thorough knowledge of underground mining maintenance methods, operations, and procedures and proven experience providing a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel.
- Exposure to industry best preventative maintenance regimes is imperative to ensure machinery and equipment is maintained to a high level of availability at all times.
- Good communication, management & planning skills with the ability to monitor expenditure in accordance with budgets.
