RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be responsible for the safety standards of goods stored and issued from facilities of Bulyanhulu Gold mine warehousing operations

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Demand and Materials Requirement Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team, the business and on a practical note to provide information required for demand and consumption to customers for proper planning. Running Materials Requirement Planning accurately and timely so to provide service to customers as per the established procedure
Reporting to: Demand & Supply Superintendent
Work Schedule: 14 Days On / 7 Days Off
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare information required by the end users (Output of Materials Requirement Planning run) in order to review and make changes to consumption and planned requirements
Ensuring orders are placed and expedited in a timely manner and as per the Standard operating Procedure
Receive inputs from end users and update Materials Requirement Planning
Run MRP, review exceptions and evaluate their impacts to stock/orders and agree on appropriate actions
Prepare a document for Materials Requirement Planning discussions, exceptions and actions, and present it for approval by the Demand and Supply Superintendent
Running Materials Requirement Planning report highlight specific planning issues that may lead to Obsolescence, Stock outs or high inventory levels prior to quarterly review
Ensuring Materials Requirement Planning reports and agendas are submitted as per the calendar/schedules
Identify opportunities where planned orders outside of the firm planned period may present a procurement opportunity to be investigated
The Demand and Materials Requirement Planning Specialist will attend the Quarterly meeting and ensure actions agreed by the Collaborative Demand Supply Team are updated in the Materials Requirement Planning as an outcome of the meeting and will communicate the impact that the changes made will have on the final plan
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Materials Management and or Logistics Management

This is done through verbal and written communication with suppliers and internal customers
Reporting to: Demand & MRP Superintendent
Work Schedule: 5 Days On / 2 Days off

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and analyses all pending orders in line with their delivery due dates, an manages the planned delivery time( from PO to Consolidation point)
Ensures that Supply Partners and Forwarders ship orders on time
Ensures that suppliers and forwarders meet their commitment in terms of providing management reports, daily, weekly or monthly as required
Ensures that the tracking reports are available, accurate and up-to-date each time
Collects information relating to the status of Critical orders and communicates the same to End users through integrated meetings
Prepares requests for shipping by airfreight for approval in accordance with the procedures
Manages all Non-conforming items received from the time of identification to the point of resolution
Ensures that all documents relating to expediting are correctly filed and archived

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and execute Cycle Counting and Periodic Stock take program in line with corporate requirement
Ensure that all stock counts are planned and that all activities prior to and after stock count are complete in time.

Ensure all stock data is update so that physical stock and system stock are accurately represented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensures effective coordination with Logistics Contractor in tracking movement of goods from the consolidation point to the ports of destination
•Follow up on exports from mine site with Logistics contractor and relevant authorities and Port Terminals
•Receive shipment pre-alerts and collaborate with Freight Forwarders in duty assessment requests with TASAC
•Follow up in collaboration with Logistics Contractor on duty assessments from TASAC
•Follow up on the various permits from other regulatory authorities (GCLA, TBS, EWURA, TANROAD, Ministry responsible for Transport etc) required during importation and transportation of goods
•Coordinate with Freight Forwarder for payment offers and release of goods from organizations (TPA, TICTS, Shipping Companies, ICDs, etc) involved in importation, handling and storage of goods
•Coordinate with Freight Forwarder in resolving issues related to imported goods with the relevant authorities (Port Terminals, TASAC, TRA, TBS,etc)
•Work with inland logistics contractor to ensure smooth loading and transporting goods to site
.•Coordinate resolution of issues related to documentation required in clearance process
•Check consolidated invoices and debit notes
•Collaborate with Regional Logistics team to process claims from the transports in cases of incidents related to transportation of goods
•In collaboration with Regional Logistics Lead and Freight Forwarder reconcile duty payments from Float Account
•Update into in transit both International and local deliveries
•Reconciliation of freight invoices submitted by the transporter
•Management reporting on agreed key performance areas
•Maintains filing system and archive for the documents as per the procedure
•Performs any other tasks related to the overall objective as assigned by the respective Leader
