In 2018/19, VSO supported over one million of the poorest and most excluded people in 23 countries across Africa and Asia.
Role overview
Disability Inclusion is a key part of our social inclusion core approach. You will work with the Social Inclusion Advisor to strengthen VSO’s work on disability. The main purpose is to support in designing and delivering online webinar sessions for mentoring and coaching country programme staff. You will also support our teams in researching and developing case studies of best practices in the area of disability inclusion as part of our organisational response and intervention pose by C0V1D-I9.

In addition to the core competencies above, you will possess the below:
• Degree in a related field with significant experience of working in resource poor contexts.
Experience:
• Significant experience in designing and implementation of disability inclusion interventions ( at least in one these sub-sectors : inclusion of children with disabilities ( deaf, visual impairment, learning disability),
• Good understanding of developing training modules, facilitation and delivering webinars.
• Experience of coaching and mentoring
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Washington Group of Questions
• Knowledge on the convention on rights of persons with disabilities
• Knowledge on disability inclusion in disaster risk management
Experience:
• Understanding of volunteering for development

This role is mainly remote working, VSO will reimburse all related expenses incurred while performing the activities e.g. communications.
