The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania entered into a contract for the Upgrading of NDUTA JCT-KIBONDO TOWN-KIBONDO-JCT(25.9KM) to Bitumen Standard, The Regional Manager's Office TANROADS - Kigoma, on behalf of the Chief Executive, TANROADS, intends to recruit qualified and competent Staff to fill the following vacant posts below on specific duties short-term contracts within the Region...

Vacancy title: Assistant Land Surveyor
Educational/Professional qualifications:
• Must have a diploma in land surveying or equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/colleges;
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft, word, excel and auto card

Work Experience
• At least 2 years cumulative experience of conducting survey works;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory;
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen;
• Age Limit: 25 years and above.
Vacancy title: Material Technician
Education Professional qualification:
• Must have full Technician Certificate or diploma in civil engineering or equivalent from any recognized Learning Institution/ colleges;
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft, word, excel and auto card
Work Experience
• At least 3 years cumulative experience related to road/ Bridge design and construction;
• Served as a Pavement! Material technician or an equivalent Capacity on at least Three (3) in road construction project of similar magnitude and complexity Self motivation, able to work under pressure beyond working hours with minimum supervision;
• Fluent in Swahili and English
• Must be Tanzanian Citizen;
• Age Limit: 25 years and above
Vacancy title: Works Inspector - Drainage and Structure
Education/Professional qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/colleges
• Must have a holder of Bachelor degree in land surveying or equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/College
• He/she must be a Registered Land surveyor
• Must be a computer literate.
• Registered as a Graduated/professional Engineer with ERB
• A National Form VI certificate of FTC or ordinary Diploma certificate;

• Served as a Works Inspector or an equivalent capacity at least Three (3) years in road construction project of similar magnitude and complexity
• Self motivation, able to work under pressure beyond working hours with minimum supervision;

• Age Limit: 25 years and above.

Work Experience

• Served as a Topographical/land surveyor in at least two (2) road construction projects of the similar magnitude and complexity in the last five years;
• He/she must have a working experience of which at least 3 years in Sub-Sahara Countries;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory;
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen;
• Age limit 30 years and above.
Vacancy title: Bridge/Drainage Engineer
Education/ Professional qualifications:
• Must be a Bachelor Degree in civil, bridge or structural engineering or equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/colleges;
• Must be Registered with ERB as Professional Engineering or highway engineering and experience in contract administration under FIDIC/PPRA condition of contract is an added advantage
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft, word, excel and auto card

• Served as a structure/drainage Engineering for at least Two (2) road project of similar magnitude and complexity in the last ten (10) Years;
• He/she must have six (6) years working experience of at least 3 years in Sub-Sahara countries;
• Shall Head the site staff and be responsible for ensuring the bridges and other drainage structures are constructed according to design and conform to the contract specifications.
• Self motivation, able to work under pressure beyond working hours with minimum supervision;
• Fluent is Swahili and English; vii. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen;
• Age Limit 35 years and above
Vacancy title: Material Engineer
Educational/Professional qualifications:
• Must be a holder of Bachelor Degree in civil or material engineering from any recognized higher Learning Institution/colleges;
• Must be registered with ERB as Professional Engineering and experience
• A postgraduate qualification in pavement or materials engineering and experience in contract administration under FIDIC/PPRA
• Condition of contract will be an added advantage
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft, word, excel and auto card
