Overview

Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA) is a
regional organization established by International Convention signed by
the Governments of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South
Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Our mandate is to control Migratory
Pests in the Region HEADQUARTERS: ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA.

VACANCY OPPORTUNITY
The
Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA) wishes
to employ a Tanzanian national to the post of Radio Operator/Store
Keeper for DLCO-EA Arusha.
1. Job title: Radio Operator/Store Keeper (RO/SK)
2. Job classification: General staff
3. Terms of Appointment: 3 years contract (Renewable)
4. Salary and Benefits: Salary and benefit package (competitive) will be offered according to the Organization's salary structure.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
Serves
as Radio Operator/Storekeeper and Assistant accountant to the
organization. The RO/SK is responsible for the day to day preliminary
processing & custody of stores and accounting documents as well as
the safe custody of Petty Cash, Cheque Books, all the stores of the base
station. S/he is responsible for ensuring that message records are
properly maintained. The RO/SK maintains contacts with all units,
transmitting and receiving authorized messages, and ensures prompt
delivery of messages to addresses. Details of the Job description (JB)

Qualifications/Requirements:
• University Degree in any of the social science fields (Accounting; Management).
• Diploma or Certificate in radio communication will be an added advantage
• At least 5 years of progressive work experience in the areas of accounts, stores management and Radio Communication
• Fluent in spoken and written English 6.4 Age 30-55
