Job Summary
Anticipated USAID/Tanzania Health Activities Chemonics International, a U.S. based international development consulting firm, seeks Director of Finance and Operations candidates for anticipated Tanzania health activities. The DFO will oversee operations for all activity offices in Tanzania. This includes oversight of procurement, grants, construction, logistics, human resources, accounting and finance, and records. This individual will be responsible for managing the contract budget and preparing financial reports for submission to USAID. S/he will ensure funds expended are compliant with USG regulations and policies. He/she will implement fraud mitigation practices and ensure systems and processes are implemented effectively to support implementation of the award.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management of large, complex projects of which a minimum of 8 years in the field of international development
- Experience managing USAID or other donor-funded development programs preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate and build partnerships with Government of Tanzania (GOT) ministries and representatives
- Demonstrated ability in developing and managing large budgets
- Familiarity with compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulations required
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Professional level of oral and written fluency in English required
