Education
  • Degree in Construction Economics or Civil Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Contract Management or Procurement and Logistics Management
  • Registered by a recognized institution as professional in field of specialization

Experience
  • 10 years of overall experience out of which at least 5 years are in supervision of contracts, particularly works and service contracts
  • Experience with contract management of DBO contract will be an added advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of World Bank procurement procedures and guidelines. Familiarity with operating procedures of other development partners will be an added advantage
  • Experience in handling/managing contracts signed and paid for by Government
  • Experience in working with procurement teams to enhance procurement processes and improve tender and contract documents
  • Experience in monitoring contract execution, computation of due payments against works executed and accurate measurement of completed works against related payments
  • Experience in training/ capacity building in contract management

Skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and good skills to deal with Procurement Management issues innovatively and independently
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team to provide advice and recommend actions
  • Proficiency in preparing and presenting reports
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent computer and conversant with Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent report writing skills

Duration:
30 months (over a period of 36 months) on full time basis
