Project Name: Skills for Employment Tanzania (SET)
Funded By: Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC)
Place of Duty: Morogoro, Tanzania
Project Goal: The project aims at strengthening employment
and livelihood of youth, women and young mothers through increased
relevant skills development.
Target Group: Youth, women and young mother (15 to 24)

To proactively facilitate the implementation of component 2 activities in accordance with the programme document and the annual work plan, developed in cooperation with MVTTC, on the development of a self-study modular teacher training course.
Main Tasks
To proactively facilitate the progression of the working
groups for the development of the course modules in accordance with
terms for each group. Facilitate the development of training material
for each module including computer based learning material. Plan and
carry out piloting of the modules including building managerial capacity
at MVTTC for the implementation of a self-study course.
Detail Tasks
• Take the lead for implementing component 2 by working closely with MVTTC and the team leader.
• Cooperate with MVTTC staff on the implementation of the work plan.
• Establish training module working groups, develop terms of
references guiding the work of the working groups and oversee the work
of the groups.
• Liaise with the relevant staff at VETA Head Office.
• Ensure that a gender concerns are addressed in the development of the modules.
• Maintain close contact with FDCs (management and teachers).
• Plan and implement pilot training activities.
• Develop ToRs and supervise sub-contractors.
• Compile and disseminate assessment results.
• Responsible for compiling data for Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM.
Reporting
Reports to the SET team leader, and when required to the deputy team leader.

Qualifications & experience
a. A minimum of a bachelor’s or higher degree in
programme/project management, education, adult learning, vocational
education, vocational teacher training or equivalent;
b. A minimum of five years’ project management experiences
with managing complex development processes, facilitate the work of
target working groups;
c. Working experience from the TVET in Tanzania and with training course development will be an advantage;
d. Experience working in:
- Cross-functional teams;
- Facilitating development work through multi-disciplined working groups;
- Managing development activities against clear targets;
- Apply a gender agenda at implementation level.
e. The ability to write clear and concise reports;
f. Excellent communication skills with a high level of written and spoken English and Swahili.
