qualified person to fiil the following based Mbeya in Tanzania.
Job Title: Accountant – ZAMSEED Tanzania
Under
supervision of the country lead, the accountant is responsible for
daily financial oversight ensure compliance in accordance with financial
management, accounting principles & procedure. S/HE will ensure
transparent, audit-ready finance operations. The accountant is also
responsible for day-today cash flow analyses, tax compliance, invoicing
& processing daily running of the office stock control budgeting,
transfer and the financial well being of the country
Read Also:
• Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards,
ensuring financial internal controls are sufficient and best practices
such as cash management process are secure, all the data is valid and
financial reporting is reliable timely and accurate
• Conduct review on all transactions entered into accounting system
• Debt management and collections
• Conduct regular internal audit of financial transactions, make recommendations and implement follow-up actions
• Ensure that all sales go thought the EFD machine and subsequently invoiced in the system
• To produce monthly management accountant by the 7 day of the following month’s
• Collaborate with field based staff, strengthen internal control
system and ensure continuous performance improvement within the process
• In collaboration with field based financial/compliance officers, plan
and perform field audits control review and compliance assessment.
Analyze results and provide recommendations to the districts based teams
as well as the Lusaka – Based team
• Serve as liaison and support for external audits
• Coordinate action plants to close out audit finding
• Manage relationship with the bank and reconcile transactions
• Ensure strict compliance around tax issued and liaise with Tanzania tax authorities
• Submit monthly financial report cashfolw and bank statements
• Maintain, regularly update and analyze the financial system
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and pipelines
• Work closely with team to plan forecast and coast out annual and quarterly work plan activities
• Provide monitoring and oversight function on subcontractors
compliance to ensure that the overall implementation compliance with
regulations and policies
• Perform other duties assigned by his/her supervision or designee
Qualifications;
• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related filed required, professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA Or master’s degree preferred
• Full membership with the required associations
• At least 10 years working experience in financial management
• Experience with international finance
• Demonstrated experience in accounting, auditing and financial planning amagement
• Leadership, mentor ship and coaching abilities required
• Strong communication abilities, excellent English writing, speaking and reading skills required
• Proficiency with MS office software and financial package preferably pastel
• A valid driving license
• Must be result oriented and able to with minimum supervision
