About this organization
We are a nonprofit school in Tanzania looking for energetic and creative local teachers to join our team. Teachers should have certification or degree in education as well as a passion for working with children. Our philosophy at Uru Academy is a play-based curriculum that emphasizes art, movement and active learning. Responsibilities will include monitoring children’s education and health, writing lesson plans, maintaining classroom materials and more. We prefer experienced teachers but are open to recent graduates ready to learn more. Our location is Uru, Kitandu Village outside of Moshi, Tanzania. We also accept local and international volunteers for lengths of stay longer than three months.

Level of Language Proficiency
Must be fluent in English as we are an English immersion school.
