Position: Project Assistant WASH (1) Serengeti

JOB PURPOSE:-
JOB PURPOSE:-
To
organize, supervise and monitor the implementation of innovative
approaches in delivering water, water and sanitation initiatives in
Kisangura and Sedeco ward, Serengeti. The job holder will also provide
support in documenting outcomes from the initiatives, draw lessons to
support sector engagement to bring lasting Health Change Vision of Amref
Health Africa across the globe.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Support the project/programme manager to engage with appropriate Government, NGOs/consultant, and contractors to undertake design, piloting and promotion of appropriate solid WASH activities.
- Assist in technical support to LGA, community, and consultants in mobilizing for WASH implementation
- Assist in supervising, training and other capacity-building initiatives under this project
- Facilitate the WASH – Usafi Kwa Afya project activities and ensure that are implemented in line with approved project documents including: Tanzania SWASH guidelines and other standards guided at the respective LGA
- Supporting the Project Manager in adhering to operational regulations and set standards for SWASH guidelines in the course of project implementation.
- Support and prepare all logistics in the course of the project implementation which include: Meetings and training
- Control the WASH-Usafi Kwa Afya project imprest advances and ensures all expenses are correctly surrendered.
- Facilitate the WASH – Usafi Kwa Afya project activities and ensure that are implemented in line with approved project documents including: Tanzania SWASH guidelines and other standards guided at the respective LGA
- In liaison with Project Manager ensure proper communication and involvement of District partners in the project activities implementation such as. DWE, DC, DED, DSWASH Coordinator, DEO, DMO, and village officers.
- Provide supportive supervision of partners and consolidate reports
- Support prepare and coordinate project monthly, and quarterly monitoring, evaluation and documentation of the progress of initiatives and contribute to the annual report.
- Provide support to local partners to organize annual planning and review meetings
- Participate and contribute to Amref Health Africa Tanzania and partner’s participation in national WASH events.
- Support any other responsibilities, tasks or activities as reasonably required by your Line Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of science in Water, Sanitation, community development, Public health engineering or environmental science/engineering
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in WASH, project management public health
- Extensive knowledge and skills in facilitation of development projects, including working with private sector, community-based organization government institutions
- Report writing
