Position: Supply Coordinator/Superintendent
Head Office, Dar Es Salaam
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that AUMS’s HSE policies are adhered to in the course of performing the duties.
- Manage all aspects of Warehouse operations, 8500 SKU’s, USD10M+ in value, 10+ staff.
- Execute procurement activities supporting the Mine production plan.
- Coordinate shipping and delivery of materials and equipment from international suppliers.
- Ensure technical characteristics of materials comply with QA/QC standards for the underground mining industry.
- Coordinate support for maintenance activities on service and breakdown jobs.
- Coordinate with maintenance activities on repairable components actions.
- Negotiate fixed price agreement with small to medium size suppliers.
- Ensure storage of hazardous chemicals is in accordance with Australian – Tanzanian Standards.
- Other duties as directed by Group Supply Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Logistics or Business.
- 7+ years’ experience of working with major international vendors in the underground mining industry.
- Proven track record of establishing mining site stores.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing supply chain procedures and KPI’s.
- 5+ years’ experience in international logistics, coordinating shipping and transporting of containerized, out of gauge and oversized cargo.
- Sound knowledge of the equipment used in underground mining, including mobile plant and electrical equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Certificate IV in Warehousing and Distribution is desirable.
- Experience with Pronto or SAP systems.
- Ability to work in remote locations as required.
- Ability to work autonomously is essential.
- Valid Tanzanian Driver’s Licence
- Basic First Aid
