Job title: Human Resources Assistant

Purpose of the post
The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) reports to the Human Resources
and Administration Officer to provides a specialized HR professional
support in day – to –day management and administration of the Human
Resource function in alignment with AGPAHI strategic Plan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements HR policies and procedures that are in line with staff contracts, employee handbook, labor laws and operational manual
- Responsible for organizing operations meetings at Zonal Office and act as secretary; write minutes thereof.
- Capture feedback on an ongoing basis and ensure that the feedback is acted upon to bring in operational effectiveness
- Assist to oversee the management and general administration of employee leave plans
- Facilitate Employee Relations in the field offices
- Administrative facilitation of recruitments at Sub guarantees including Preparing Interview Schedules and document interview reports and contracts of sub staff
- Effective filling of all related documents for all sub staff, ensures all required employee documentation is obtained, correctly filed and updated as necessary.
- Track and monitor probationary periods of staff
- Facilitate separation of staff as per internal policy and procedures of exit management. Organize exit interview, return of office equipment and terminal benefits.
- Act as liaison between HR and Administration Officer and sub staff in Mwanza and Mara region on HR related issues.
- Monitor staff attendance at Zonal Office and ensure attendance report is printed and submitted to HR and Administration Officer on monthly basis.

Qualifications, Skills and ability
- University/college degree or Diploma on Human Resources Management or any other related field is required
- At least 1 Year work experience in Human Resources profession
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
