Job Title: Nurse (3 Posts)
Reports to: RV 517 Study Coordinator
Location: Mbeya
Qualifications
The suitable candidate should:
 Have a Diploma in nursing or equivalent relevant training.
 Have clinical experience in phlebotomy and basic clinical procedures.
 Have knowledge of ethical standards of clinical practice.
 Be conversant with good clinical practice and be certified as such.
 Good mastery of written and spoken English and Swahili.
 Other skills or experience in Basic Research are an added advantage.

Job Title: RV 517 Study Counsellor (3 Posts)
Reports to: RV 517 Study Coordinator
Location: Mbeya
Qualifications
The suitable candidate should:
 Have a Diploma or degree in counseling or equivalent relevant training.
 Have clinical experience in phlebotomy and basic clinical procedures.
 Have knowledge of ethical standards of clinical practice.
 Be conversant with good clinical practice.

Job Title: Research Assistant (3 Posts)

 A Bachelor of Science Degree in Laboratory Science or related field.
 Demonstrate a good understanding of Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures Development
and Utilization.
 Be conversant with Principles of Good Clinical and Laboratory Practice.
 Be able to comprehend Research Practices and Procedures, and ready to learn.
 Knowledge of English required

Job Title:: RV 517 Research Data Assistant (2 Posts)
Reports to: RV 517 Study Coordinator
Location: Mbeya
Qualifications:
The suitable candidate should:
 Have a certificate diploma or degree with experience in data analysis or equivalent relevant
training.
 Have basic knowledge of data collection procedures and analysis.
 Have basic knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation Principles and Procedures.
 Good mastery of written and spoken English and Swahili
 Other skills or experience in Basic Research are an added advantage.
 Basic computer skills (i.e. utilizing Microsoft Office – Excel and Word)

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer (1)

Qualifications:
 A Bachelor of Science Degree in a clinical or laboratory science related field.
 Demonstrate a good understanding of clinical, data and laboratory Standard Operating
Procedures Development and Utilization.

Job Title: Research Data Management Officer (1)

Qualifications:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field.
The following would be an added advantage:
 Experience in biostatistics and working with public health data.
 Have a basic understanding and knowledge of data analysis packages (e.g. Excel, STATA and/or SPSS).
 Experience in data management and analysis.
 Knowledge of databases and experience using multiple clinical data management systems.
 Demonstrated initiative, creativity and flexibility in problem solving.
 Able to communicate both orally and in written English and Kiswahili.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Qualification:

 Good understanding of General HIV focused Clinical and Laboratory activities under PEPFAR Program.

Knowledge & Skills Required

 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a National and local forums and
other Implementing partners
 Ability to travel domestically for IP monitoring up to 50% of the time

Job Title: RV 517 Study Coordinator (1)
Reports to: Research Director
Location: Mbeya Region
Qualifications:
Minimum of one-year clinical research experience. C3 Hold a degree in a clinical field or equivalent.
Familiarity with clinical research-based principles.
Minimum two years experience in program coordination related to HIV research.
Demonstrated understanding of the complexity of issues relating to HIV/AIDS.
Have documented Ethical and GCP training.
Have knowledge on dealing with IRB Approvals, Review of Protocols and conversant with Codes of Ethics of Clinical Research.
Further formal training in HIV (e.g. counseling, treatment literacy, PMTCT, PITC) is an added advantage.
Knowledge of English required

Work Location: Selected districts in Songwe, Katavi and Ruvuma
Qualifications:
Medical Degree is mandatory from a recognized institution and must be registered with the relevant professional body in Tanzania; postgraduate training in internal medicine or infectious diseases will be an added advantages.
2 years’ experience providing HIV/AIDS clinical care in Tanzania or previous experience working in HIV/AIDS care and treatment or research programs
Fluency in English and Kiswahili
Basic Competency with Computer Applications [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
Willingness to spend 75% of working hours traveling and working in rural areas of Mbeya, Songwe, Ruvuma, Rukwa and Katavi regions
